The views are amazing of the valleys, forest and the Hoodoo formations. Finding the entrance to the parking lot is not very well posted, but is only a short distance from the main Hiway. The walk was more than I could really handle with a...More

It was a cold -20C in the trail parking lot when we strapped our snowshoes and tramped through beautiful fresh powder snow...looking for the HooDoos. Very few other hikers were on the trail, probably because of the frigid weather. Easy to navigate hike on the...More

Nice wide trail and relatively short hike with steady uphill grade. Some people may find it a bit steep but there are plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the view. I have seen better well defined Hoodoos but for me and my friends, the...More

Easy hike form parking lot. Views are certainly worth it. Different vegetation then anywhere else in this region. And now I know what a hoodoo is.

It’s an easy trail if you are a regular hiker with medium intensity. The view from the top is great and the rock formations are lovely. Do walk around the circle at the top to get different views and angles now that you’ve climbed to...More

The short hike and visit takes about an hour. Probably 3 km and 100 meter rise. It's a brief but moderately difficult hike. We hiked on a clear day and it was glorious. Everything was green - except the hoodoos. The trail takes you to...More

This relatively easy trail is giving a good view over The Valley. It is a short excursion to fill a day and great to stretch your legs on that one hour max walk.

Nothing to see on the way up. The view at the top is no match for a view atop a hill a few miles/kilometers south on Highway 93, where there's a sign identifying Lake Columbia.

This is a very nice hike up to the hoodoos and back. It is a fairly steep path, so it gets the blood flowing, but should be accessible to all ages. This would be slippery after a rain so I would recommend going on a...More

This hike/walk was ok, some nice views especially on the way down. It's suitable for families with kids.

Yes I think they would do ok on this but I recommend holding on to them at the top because there is no safety railing or nets to catch someone if they fall. Also note that we didn't really see any wildlife(birds,squirrels... More

Head south from Fairmont on HWY 93/95 about 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Westside Road and watch for sign and parking lot on left
