We are one of the oldest boat tour operators in Nova Scotia. Our three-hour tours include a variety of activities depending on the route and weather conditions. We don't always see whales but you will have an exceptional family outing. You will discover and can photograph Old Town Lunenburg from the water, see miles of rugged Nova Scotia coastline and observe and hear the rush of waves plunging ancient sea caves. We pass iconic lighthouses, stop briefly near Pearl Island (one of the few colonies of Puffins in the province) and often see dolphins, a variety of seabirds, leatherback turtles, sunfish, harbour seals and other marine species. As for whale watching, the variety of species we see is impressive. There are Fin Whales, Minke Whales and Humpbacks. And on very special occasions (and with a bit of luck) we have seen rare species, like the great Blue Whale, the largest whale (and animal) on earth.

It's a gamble to go whale watching, that's how it is. Our frustration lies in poor management of this business. We made a reservation by phone for a 1230 tour. When we called to confirm what time we should be at the dock, we were...More

For 140$ for two people, I'd recommend spending the money on a nice restaurant in the area and enjoying the view or another activity. The 3 hour "boat ride" was cold and miserable. The sea was very choppy and all we saw were seals and...More

We pre-booked and we're told that we had to be there half an hour early. Clearly this wasn't the company's real policy since it actually waited on late people, and had us turn back around just as we were outside of the harbour to pick...More

Tips: Wear sneakers for a good grip and light summer clothes with a light sweater you can throw on if the sea breeze gives you a chill. Shorts and a t-shirt are absolutely sufficient. Bring a hat and sunscreen. Also, highly suggest binoculars and/or ultra...More

Yes it was a foggy day and yes, you cannot control whales like puppets to perform for a crowd, we get that. I guess what was most disappointing about the tour was the missed opportunity. We learned little of Lunenberg despite its history, or the...More

We went out and we're not able to see any whales. Yes I know they are wild animals and do move around. However the tour guides never even mentioned that they were not able to find any and were sorry that nothing was seen during...More

I have recently taken my second tour on the Eastern Points boat. We heard the history of Lunenburg as we started away from the waterfront. We spent three hours on the water, experiencing our coastline from a different point of view. The boat took us...More

I had previously viewed negative reviews but thought what the heck give it a go anyway! Am I glad I did. From the minute we arrived at the ticket booth the experience was a joy. Unfortunately we didn't see any whales but that isn't the...More

The boat was fast and gave good visibility but whilst this is a great journey it seems you are unlikely to see what you expected. We totalled one seal, one gull: that's it! I wouldn't mind so much but there was no mention of this...More

they have a board outside their kiosk on white board they check off daily, telling you of "recent siting's" of blue whales, humpbacks, seals, puffins, leatherback turtles, tuna etc.. NONE WERE SITED EXCEPT THEY DROVE US TO A SHOAL WHERE 10-15 SEALS SAT. OTHER THAN...More
