We were there as a group of 38. They are doing a big overhaul so we couldn't go onboard. They're actually not open yet but we got a speech about it and had a Q&A period. The teens thought it was cool and it's too bad we couldn't board the majestic beauty but it's something to look forward to on... More

Great for a family experience. Make sure you bring warm clothes. No matter what the weather or temp is on the shore it is a lot colder on the open water. We learned a lot about sailing and the history of the Bluenose II from the crew and the Captain. We had a 2 hour tour on the water. Amazing... More

I was able to fulfill a lifetime dream to sale on the Bluenose. It was a cool day but dress warm or take a sweater even on a warm day...it's always cooler out on the water. It was so interesting to see land from a different perspective. Awesome. It is a national treasure ..and proud to know my uncle worked... More

The ship under sail makes a very nice photo memory of your trip. The associated museum is well done and interesting.

This is a highlight, to sail on the Bluenose. I recommend it to anyone visiting Nova Scotia. The Story of the Bluenose is rich in History of eastern Canada, and seeing Bluenose 11 brings that history to life.

Went to Lunenburg in late October and by that point the Bluenose II is not "open for business" anymore. She was parked along a part of the dock that was blocked off, so we could only see a small part of her. A tiny bit disappointing but it was still nice to see her none the less. The view of... More

We went for a sail on the Bluenose II. Had a great time even though it wasn't a windy day we still had a nice sail. Saw some dolphins along the way. The Bluenose II is a great platform to take pictures of Lunenburg from. The crew and captain were great. More than helpful answering questions. If you are in... More

By late October, the summer crowds are gone, so it's a good time to explore. A Although we've been to Lunenburg a half dozen times, this was the first time the Blue Nose II was actually there. She was being readied for winter. On her deck was a giant wood scaffolding that apparently forms a frame for her winter shrink... More
