I loved this little museum that was full of all the history of Fernie. Love how you are allowed to touch some of the artifacts. My only suggestion would be to fix the discovery drawers. Hard to see all the displays because they have shifted....More

We like small town historical museums and this well arranged and managed one was great. The building is an old bank and has two floors of historical displays. You just can't go wrong touring their wonderful selections.

It is not a grand building from the outside, but inside this bijou museum they have packed a lot of fascination. And you don't feel crowded! The historic displays are thorough, with just the right level of depth. Lots of interesting artifacts, without looking like...More

We were able to purchase the "family" ticket for $10. It's not a very large museum, but they had nice exhibits and some interactive stations. Nice bookstore too.

I don't know how many museums I've visited, but it"s a lot. This one stands out as above average. Fernie's history has a different twist, what with a strong labour movement (the coal mines) actually electing a Labour MLA. Some good information on this era,...More

Thank you for visiting! We also think our front desk attendant, Cory, is fantastic. He gets a lot of very positive comments on Trip Advisor for his knowledge and professional, friendly demeanour. We will be passing your comments into him.

Very nice little museum which showcases Fernie's history. Some good interpretive displays, a few hands-on components and great value for $5/adult!

My wife and I enjoyed the hour or so of time visiting the museum after skiing. Glad they were open past 4pm. A great way for travelers to catch a glimpse of Fernie's early days as the settlers there were surely tenacious people.
