Only 20 minutes from Quebec City, the Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier...

Only 20 minutes from Quebec City, the Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier earned its nickname, “Québec City's Great Outdoors,” with its four-season playground. Winter play is on the area's two ski resorts, snow slides, and its new snowshoeing and Nordic skiing trails. Summertime finds travelers hanging at the lakes. Feeling adventurous? Spend the night in a yurt, primitive campsite or cottage in the woods.

We found Snowflake Kingdom to be the least advertised but most satisfying for all of us, kids, teens and adults. There are huge slides made of ice -snowpants are an absolute requirement. There are huge walls of snow with designs and carvings inside, many entertaining stilt walkers, firepits and snowshoeing. Lineups are long so try to go end of day... More

We live in Petawawa and I thought it would be nice to take the kids age 1 and 3 to winterlude this year. Excited to go but a little disappointed when we got there. Lots of snow, which is great but definitely not with a stroller. You need a sled or a carrier for he little one. I guess since... More

I visited here as part of the Winterlude celebrations. It is a park. There is really nothing more to add. It is nice to have a large green space close to downtown Ottawa, and it was neat all of the winter activities they had going, especially the ice slides and the maze.

We had fun during the Winterlude at the Snowflake kingdom. My hubby and I tried the iceberg slide and the ice tubing.. a local gentleman told us it was a nice day and weather for the all activities in the park that day. Of course, we had the perfect snack beaver tails and hot chocolate..(which we never get tried of)... More

I haven't often been to this park as a pedestrian, but I have passed through here literally hundreds of times as a cyclist. The Voyageurs pathway runs through here, and you get a great view of the Ottawa River, and Ottawa itself. Once you're done passing through here, you pass the boat dock, and then under the Alexandra Bridge, and... More

This park is just a 15 min. walk from the down town Ottawa. It is located on the Ottawa river and is used for many festivals . Two of the most important are Canada day and Winterlude. But between the two festivals there are many smaller ones. When it is not in use for these events it has beautiful paths... More

They've done such a marvellous job of renovating this area it's beautiful and quaint. Rue Jacque-Cartier in Gatineau Quebec has a few fine restaurants to discover and this little exotic crystal shop that has been there forever and is very well known by the locals 😉 busy busy busy 👍🏼💕

Beautiful Park. Lots of walking and biking trails. We walked to this park from the 4 Pts Sheridan Hotel. Close to bridge to cross to Ottawa.

Favorite location for sow sculptures and toboggan runs during winterlude. Season warming up and hasn't been very successful in past couple of years.
