This lovely park is the entry point to Whiffen Spit. Walking on the Spit allows you to observe otters and other sea life up close. A wonderful walk.

Nice area for a stroll - unfortunately lots of dog walkers with dogs not on leashes. Supposedly a good spot for seeing seals and whales but we didn't see any. Lots of driftwood.

A beautiful walk along the coast around Sooke, looking out across the Juan de Fuca strait to the Olympic mountains on the US coast! Simply stunning...lots of driftwood!

How amazing to be able to walk out into the bay on the Whiffen Spit. Great for watching the wildlife. We saw seals and sea lions and lots of birds

Quimper Park and Whiffen Spit are great places to view wildlife. Harbor seals coasting along the kelp beds looking for lunch. Anemones abound at low tide. Sea lions basking on the rocks out past the point, with Bald Eagles soaring high overhead. Bring binoculars! Loved...More
