Went with my 4 and 6 year old today on a PA day and there were several different attractions specifically for kids - games, legos, puzzles, colouring, hands-on detective work like magnifying glasses, and uniform dress up. Add in viewing the vintage vehicles, an OPP cartoon from the video selections, and the visit held their attention for a good hour... More

What a great way to spend time with the family. No admission fee makes this an affordable destination. Museum has many great artifacts and curios The gift shop is full of tee shirt , hats , etc. Old cars in lobby are great to have your photo taken beside. Lunch through the week can be had in cafeteria.

On a recent visit to Orillia my husband and I decided to visit the OPP museum. I had a personal reason to visit the museum. The museum is small, however, jam packed with information and displays and activity centres, as well as videos. It was incredibly well put together and organized. We had the pleasure of meeting a volunteer with... More

A great place to bring children, elderly and relatives with any interest in policing. The price is great(0), the building is beautiful and there are many things to take pictures of.

Lots to look at and take in, and the volunteers do an excellent job of answering your questions. Great gift shop with reasonable prices

We went with a toddler and a young child. There was lots for them to do. Interactive displays, colouring, quizzes and their favourite, dressing up in the uniforms! While I had a moment I started looking at some of the displays for older people and I got engrossed in the stories being told. It crosses the time from old days... More

So, I have a 5 and 3 year old. I was worried that a "museum" would have nothing to interest them. I was completely wrong! This museum is fantastic for ALL ages. The two volunteers on duty when we went were awesome and extremely informative. There is Lego, a puppet theatre, button making, a dress-up area and video area for... More

We loved this place. Our children were quiet until we got to the gift shop. They had lots of things to do and staff was very friendly.

Free. Donation only. Lots of history. Great idea to have play area for the younger children. Not too big. Lots of info from K9 to aircraft patrol. Easy access. Free parking. OPP off duty shop is there too. Youcould be there thirty minutes or couple of hours as it is a self guided tour.

Gee whiz, I think my title says it all! I was excited to see this museum...how cool! Well, not cool that you can only go Monday thru Friday during business hours. I was disappointed. I did see a Tim Hortons cup and a donut just outside the entrance to the facility though....
