The Stephen Leacock home is a relaxed museum that depicts how Stephen Leacock lived . Worth the visit. Fabulous setting with a lovely cafe lakeside to take in lunch afterward! A lovely summer sfternoon visit!

This gem is in a beautiful location on Lake Couchiching. The rooms have been lovingly restored to show life during Leacock's years of living there. They have a very interesting boutique, filled with lots of treasures to tempt tourists.

My favorite part: Being in Mr Leacock's office and seeing the peephole he had to see who was at the front door and if he would receive them or have told he was unavailable. There is something magical in this house. The places he would go for inspiration. The halls he walked every day. it feels like part of him... More

The space is divided into 3 spaces. There is the main house which holds the museum, the there is the restaurant and then the boathouse. This also includes all the land on the point on the lake. There are walking trails. The whole space is very romantic. The museum is a nice step back in time. It's well kept and... More

Lawns and house is well maintained. Interesting piece of history. The artiste that captured the time his picture is also there which is not always the case. Source of local pride and awesome volunteers. Boat house needs repair and is a great view point all year long.

Great Canadian historic place. Leacock was a Canadian icon of the day. His banking essay is hilarious and should be read by every banker.

Beautiful outdoor wedding on the property. Close to the water front. just a great atmosphere. Only thing that we didnt like was the limited parking. It was a bit tricky for a larger group.

This is my second time visiting the museum. It's so peaceful and beautiful, it's possible to imagine Mr. Leacock sitting on the porch watching the sunset. They made us feel welcome to explore on our own, welcome to sit in his chair if we felt like it. Meet a young man in the entrance and he was happy to tell... More

Located on Lake Couchiching's scenic Brewery Bay this beautiful old revitalized home of Stephen Leacock is filled with history including original furnishing and Leacock's extensive library. An extremely interesting guided tour by one of the very knowledgeable guides will take less that an hour. The grounds and gardens themselves are worth the visit. Living in Orillia we have often take... More
