We bought our tickets ($30 per person) for the tour boat as soon as we arrived in Perce. We had to wait in line on the wharf to board until the second boat came back to Perce. It wasn't a long wait about a half hour. The boat had comfortable seating inside the cabin and outside. The boat motored to... More

The ability to see hundreds of thousands of nesting northern gannets is a once in a lifetime experience. Absolutely amazing! Also, the number of grey seals basking on the rocks is not to be missed. The island is clean and wonderfully natural. A must see!

This is a must if you go to this area. There are so many birds, seals and sights around the island. It was a very enjoyable tour and I would do it again.

Bonaventure Island, on Quebec’s Gaspé Peninsula, is a national park & home to the largest gannet colony in North America and the second largest in the world. The gannet is a magnificent sea bird, having a six-foot wingspan. Booked boat tour to Bonaventure Island for same morning - tour includes return trip & ride around Rocher Percé Rock - large... More

In October about a third of the colony has left on their migration so not as impressive as when the 150,000 birds are on the wall. There were a number of seals swimming about and 1 on top of a rock. The boat tour was worth the money especially if you are a birder.

The colony of some 200,000 gannets is a must see for anyone visiting the Gaspe Peninsula. Take an early boat from Perce harbor to the island, so you're not rushed--in addition to the gannets, which are difficult to stop watching, there is lovely flora, good walking paths, interesting scenery, and remains of the community that called the island home before... We took the boat cruise that includes the Rock and Bonaventure - It was a beautiful day and we found a spot to sit on the bow outside and of course we got wet - it was fun !!! We decided to stop on Isle Bonaventure and hike to the gannet nesting colony on the other side of the island... More

This is a National Park. The price is 8.50 CAD/person not including the boat (30CAD/ person). It is a great place to visit specially to watch the huge colony of other' gannets. This visit is worth it. Unfortunately, it is also a kind of cash cow park. You pay for a limited time from 10 till 1pm, no information from... More

Better than Forillon park! The trip by boat around the rock and the island is really nice and breathtaking. Many birds and seals. The trek on the island was amazing as you go through different beautiful landscapes. Great lookouts on the cliffs. The smell of the pines was incredible. Great experience!

The winds were up, and the seas were a bit rough - the day I took my boat ride. I sat on the far left side - up top thinking I would have the best view for pictures. Well, I did, but when we circled Ile Bonaventure on the Outside - the waves came and soaked me! It was fun... More
