We visited the Greater Vancouver Zoo last week for the first time. I was a little shocked by the entry fee as well as paying $6 to park I thought was ridiculous. We were a little frustrated at first because of the amount of space,...More

We travelled to the Greater Vancouver Zoo on a wet and miserable day but that's where the grey ended. This place is amazing with (as you would expect) a well planned walking trail with plenty of opportunity to look at and appreciate some extraordinary animals....More

A zoo needs a lot of space hence the Vancouver zoo is out in Aldergrove where the air is fresh and animals just love it. Believe it or not, the smells are not as bad as you’d think. The upkeep of this zoo is immaculate,...More

The zoo was awesome. What made it special was the lady who was helping us take pictures with both Hagrid and Thora (possible wrong name and or misspelling) she helped make possible pictures with my autistic child. Made it a super smooth and easy experience....More

We have been members here for years. Our kids love every visit but we pack extra disinfectant. The state of the restaurant and toilet is just so third worldly. This could be a commercial success if only they maintained it a bit.

I would say be prepared for 4-5k if you want to see everything. It's flat and well maintained. You can rent a large pedal cart that fit two adults and two young kids but honestly walking it is best.
