The carousel might be the main attraction for the little ones. Indeed, it's an eye candy, so much classier than similar attractions in London.

The museum is free, most of the time. Not many places can find a piece of history in the city for free. Love all the shop display, printing shop, old bank, blacksmith, bakery, theatre, and the general stores. Bring back a lot of memories. The old house remind me of the first house we live in when we first comes... More

We agree - the TraiNgang sets up an amazing display and their members are so very enthusiastic! They are a wonderful community partner. We traditionally invite them to set-up on our site several times a year including the opening weekend of our Heritage Christmas season in later November. Pleased to read that you enjoyed the rest of your Museum visit... More

Visited with child. It is the place where Vancouver first started. And would recommend this place. Very scenic and tells a lot of history.

It's fun to take a walk through time with the grandkids. First of all, they love the carousel ride and so do I. The horses are all so beautifully painted and each one is different. Then you stroll along the streets, watching the blacksmith doing his work, something none of us would ever know a thing about. Peeking into the... More

It's a good time spent if you want a relaxing and interesting afternoon with a friend or your family. A place to walk around and old heritage spots to explore with nice grounds for an outing.

Whether you're a visitor to the Vancouver Lower Mainland or someone who lives here regularly - you should always make it a point to go to the Burnaby Village Museum. The carousel is awesome (2nd fastest in the world), the food is good, and the historical sites are fantastic. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon. AND.... Super affordable!

I recall visiting this museum as a child, marvelling at all the old stuff that I could see and touch. As an adult, I enjoy looking at the old automobiles and locomotives that they have on display, and I like to go to the general store and see which antique tins I can recognize from my grandparents' house. There are... More

Beautiful to walk through at Christmas. The carousal is fabulous, worth a wait and is very inexpensive.
