Biggest thing that stands out in this short walk with views of the elk Falls is the quality and strength of the walkways and viewpoints built in aluminum. While we had limited time here due to other commitments, it's a very pleasant walk with multiple...More

The suspension bridge is relatively new from what I understand. It provides a great view of the waterfall. It's a short maybe 600m hike to get from the parking lot to the bridge. Worth a stop if you have time! The bridge was very stable...More

As someone who hates heights and suspension bridges, I was not looking forward to this but it is absolutely worth it! What an achievement to have constructed it and the views from it are amazing. Brilliant!

We really enjoyed walking the trails and crossing the suspension bridge. Trails are steep so you need to be in reasonable shape and proper footwear! Great for an afternoon.

The suspension bridge at the Falls is amazing . . . the day we were there we actually stood OVER a rainbow that emanated from the Falls below. That was a first!! It was quite dramatic and reminded me of God's good promise that "the...More

Fantastic View! If you travel further down the path away from the bridge you can walk on the rocks along the falls. Don't recommend swimming, it's far too crazy fast running, but the view and water is beautiful! Check it out!!!

Close to the parking lot so not a lot of walking involved. The bridge was fabulous and the view of the falls spectacular.

This bridge is pretty impressive, I wanted to cross it , but lost my nerve. Stunning views of the falls from here.

Definitely worth the trip to see this if you are in the Campbell River area! Keep your eyes open for the Eagles here, often they fly right over you on the suspension bridge!

Yes, but only at the trail head, along with washrooms. I don't believe there are any down by the falls. However, places to sit on the other end of the bridge, right above the falls.

There is a large parking lot near the trail entrance so it should be easy for your husband to walk in from there.

While dogs are permitted in theory, the open-mesh stairways right at the suspension bridge are extremely dog-unfriendly. My wife stayed with our dogs on the forest path while I went to the bridge, and then she had a turn... More
