Kicking Horse has attracted rave reviews after just seven seasons for its awesome vertical, deep powder and spectacular terrain mix. With an express gondola accessing over 4100 ft (1260m) of vertical, you’re bound to ski and ride an impressive feat of terrain comparable to only that of heli-skiing. Coupled with summer activities such as mountain biking, wildlife education, and alpine sightseeing, this is a place where the stories are almost too tall to believe.

If you can ski, this is THE place. The terrain here varies from wild to scary but the lower mountain (in season) is family friendly. And a trip here without at least lunch at Eagle's Eye would not be complete. Incerdible slack country skiing too!

We recently purchased a place up by Kicking Horse Resort and couldn't be happier. We are from Edmonton, AB and Golden is such a quiet and kind town. The resort is small but very picturesque and full of great staff. We think the Eagles' Eye...More

We booked the resort by phone and explained we wanted a great view. The hostess booked us into a splendid room with a sweeping valley view with mountains in the distance. The room was well equipped, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Since it...More

Sadly this resort was closed. Unsure why so early in the season. Looks like a great place tho. Would have liked to do a walk but no one about to advise.

Went up in the chairlift, great views. Joined the Grizzly first tour of the day [I think 1000] to see Boo, rescued Grizzly. Very knowledgeable guide who chatted as we wandered along watching Boo and gave us lots of information. She followed the bear along...More

With European family in tow, we toured BC, and saw lots of smoke, but no bears. If you are in this predicament, take your visitors here. The day ticket was reasonably priced, the scenery awesome, and Boo the unfortunate Bruin was co-operative. The OZ lift...More

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the Grizzly Bear Interpretive Centre. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. Boo appeared towards the end of our tour. It was such a thrill to watch him. The terrain for the tour is uneven. Best to wear solid footwear and take...More

We desperately wanted to see a grizzly bear close up during our two week trip to the Canadian Rockies. We thought we were going to be disappointed when we read in a travel book about Boo, the Grizzly, who had been saved from almost certain...More

I agree. I don't know how busy it will be but as you know your plans it's better to get it booked in. We had to make a reservation and the mountain itself wasn't that busy when we went.
