Not the best museum by far but not the worst way to spend a rainy afternoon. A little bit dated but still somewhat educational. And the markets that are held there are pretty cool.

Our 13 year old daughter wanted to visit the museum while we were vacationing in Parksville. Very quaint little set up with vintage buildings, furnishings and equipment from the early 1920's. Lots of pictures from the past, with detailed explanations. Very well done, inexpensive and...More

We called in to the museum as we were passing on foot. Spent a couple of hours looking through the various exhibits, interesting information regarding the history of the surrounding area. School and the McMillan House of 1885 were particularly good.

Parksville Museum is a wonderful venue for exploring the history of the local area. The group of historic buildings, including a church, have been relocated to the museum area, creating a village circle as one would have seen in the past. They have some great...More

The museum has free admission. All the little tiny buildings were moved from their original location. Kids learned a lot from "seeing" and they are able to touch some stuff. We also went there on Friday afternoon when they had the farmer's market!
