Surprisingly interesting

This was on our to do list and was a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon. Lots of old pictures, very educational. It wasn't too big so you didn't get bored.

Found this fantastic place with real steam engines and carriages Informative and a very interesting place to visit if you are into history on railways in the area. Friendly and informative staff good exhibitions and very factorial on the old rail days Agood place to visit rain or shine.

Thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful exhibit of the building and history of the CP railway! Very well done, and amazing to see the actual steam trains being housed. We were able to actually see inside and out of the trains! Very worth the price of admission! Now I want to try the Rocky Mountaineer trip...

We walked through the entire museum inside and out and enjoyed learning about a huge part of Canadian history. Learning about how all the Chinese workers were treated back then was appalling though. I didn't realize Canadians treated anyone like slaves.

Great to be able to walk inside the old trains and get a good feel of what the trains were really like. Make sure you have a toonie for the simulator!

The boys love trains and always have, so this was fun for them and the historical aspect was interesting for us (parents). The new train simulator was actually really cool. Only complaint about the place is the outside rail cars are not well used and not much to be seen or done with them.

Inside this two-storey museum is an excellent history of the railway with interactive features for little ones. Trains outside and in can be walked through, and a model railway is upstairs for the collector in every grown little boy. Most interesting for us adults was the fully set dining car with menus from early in the 20th century, while the... More

Great to get close to big, old engines. Things to look at inside and outside. A nice thing to look and learn about even if your not a train enthusiast

If you have an hour or two, this is an excellent stop over. We picked up a lot of history on the Canadian railways and we loved being apple to see the exhibits. The snow ploughs fascinated us because we have nothing like that where we live. A fascinating delve into history, with enough to keep adults and kids occupied.

This a small museum but houses some great exhibits. It's a really good and thorough history of the Canadian railway system and we really impressed by the different and well presented displays. There's also a "kid's" portion if you go with children. The whole museum takes about 2 hours to see if you take the time to read all the... More
