I was staying at the Skeena Spey lodge on the Skeena river in July, 2015, and our guide took us to the Kalum. Hooked several nice Chinook there. A beautiful small river accessible from its confluence with the Skeena river.

This river flows out of Kalum Lake near Terrace, it has a fine run of big spring salmon as well as steelhead and the winter steelhead fishing is good. I recommend a guide.

Bar-none the best steelhead fishing I have ever experienced. I even caught a couple on my ultra-light "dolly" set up. I would highly recommend this river to anyone looking for a once in a lifetime experience. Even if you don't land any fish the scenery...More
