The Cat ferry is a good alternative if you want to cuts miles off your ride to see Nova Scotia. Friendly staff and captain gives a very informative tour while you are out to sea.

Arrive at least an hour ahead. But, please note that the CAT may be going to Bar Harbour this summer. Stay posted.
