I drove by the BRMC on a Sunday on my way up from Keswick to northern Ontario, for a moose hunt. I stopped in to walk my dog, as I had done several years past. I noticed signs up everywhere that the forest allowed hunting. The signs were very detailed and stated what dates were open for each animal. I... More

We have cross country skied here. The trails are groomed by volunteers and in quite good shape. There is a range of distances and challenges, perfect for the occasional skier. As well, there are tougher trails. I don't think there are skate-groomed trails but I may be wrong. The ambience is great. No structures that I recall, and often, the... More

Wonderful cross country ski trails that go along the river; beautiful and very peaceful. Some courses have a lot of hills but a great workout! Hidden gem

Clean park with lots of trails. If you go in the spring or summer bring your mosquito repellant as they are thick in this place. However, early spring, late summer and fall the bugs are hardly noticeable. Also a great place to hike in the winter. Although I have never had an issue beware HUNTING is allowed here (which is... We are very fortunate to have this spot almost in our backyard. Its a beautiful and well-maintained series of trails for walking, or cross country skiing.

Recently attended the Bracebridge Resource Management Centre with visitors from France and Germany and took a walk on one of the trails. We were lucky enough to have a day where the sun was shining and the bugs were scarce. My visitors were amazed at how lucky I am to live in an area where people have access to groomed... More

This is a great little place on the Muskoka River, just above High Falls, with a summer hiking trail that turns into a cross-country skiing trail in the winter. A great place for a canoe trip, too, or a picnic beside the wild river. This is not a tourist attraction, it's a place the local people love a lot.

We have hiked in the RMC many times over the past few years. The trails are well marked and can be accessed in all seasons. We have gone with our dog (on a leash). Once a hunter came out of the woods and warned us that it was hunting season! Other reviewers have noted this. Be warned and check before... More

Been here many times over the years, Just a short drive off the hwy, but centre has many forest trails be it winter skiing, snowshoeing , or biking & hiking in the summer. Centre is combined with experimental logging and fall hunting, one should prepare for this. Trails are maintained most of the season.
