Wishing I had more time to browse the Rail Museum of Owen Sound. My Uncle from Wales visited here in July and insisted I should also visit. Even if you're not into trains, the history of Owen Sound Rail is so well worth the time.

My friend and I stopped here on our way North. It's right by the harbour and it's payment by donation. It's worth the stop. We both enjoyed our visit.

Small train with a few items stratigically placed inside. Does show what it was like to live in one of these years ago , just not very big and is done in minutes.

I was in town for the giant Rubber Duck and stopped into the museum. It was open to the public (free), but I'm not sure if it normally is. They had informative staff, and fascinating local rail and marine history.

I would absolutely recommend popping by to see this museum even though I only rated it "average". It is small and focuses more on the marine than rail BUT it is a great place to get visitor/tourist information for the area and gives a pretty...More

There is some info at the museum about Great Lakes Ships but not too much. You can contact the museum directly by visiting their web site
