We are located in Tower Hill Park at the base of Parry Sound's 96-foot Look-Out tower overlooking Beautiful Georgian Bay. The Museum features a changing calendar of exhibits in three galleries. Exhibits feature an extensive collection of local artifacts connected to the history of the Parry Sound District. Themes include Natural and Cultural history trapping, First Nations, nautical shipping, Logging, Agriculture and Contagion. Fine arts and special exhibits are offered throughout the year in our two temporary galleries. We offer family rates and special family events throughout the year. We have plenty of picnic tables and one of the best views in town, come spend the day with us.

Wonderful spot. A little cool at top today but not uncomfortable. The views are amazing. If in Parry Sound area do take the time to visit, and enjoy the museum beside it as well. The gardens will be in bloom soon!

Thoroughly enjoyed Tower Hills museum, garden, science north camp and of course walking up the tower overlooking the Georgian Bay in beautiful Parry Sound. If you have not explored Parry Sound and all of its surrounding area please add it to your bucket list.

If you would like to see a bird's-eye view of the whole town, then that is the right place. Try to bring your jacket , the top of tower is very windy and cold during this time of the season.

The museum was closed, but the gardens are pretty. And the tower gives a gorgeous view. It is free, so get some exercise and treat yourself. It is worth the very short time it takes to get there from town.

We were camping in the area and decided to visit Parry Sound. The museum is very informative about the areas history and was quite well put together. The grounds were fantastic and there was a very high fire tower there you could climb up. We...More

Got there late, but was able to get a quick look around the museum and also climb the lookout tower (10 flights of 13 steps to the top) to get a wonderful view across Parry Sound and the islands

The best part of the museum is its location on Tower Hill, with the lookout tower and hiking trail leading down to and along the waterfront. There was a pleasant display of First Nation's artifacts, the maritime history of the local area, the history of...More

If you are in the area, check this museum out. Full of local & Canadian history. There are also exhibits on the Avro Arrow which was interesting. Located in a cute park area, don't miss out on climbing the each tower. Great view!

This is a smaller, newer museum built on a scenic hill. The main exhibition space focuses on first nations, early pioneer settlement, forestry, trains, and Great Lakes shipping and transportation. The secondary exhibits focused on rug making and an ongoing project to identify lesser known...More

My friends and I visited the museum and found some very interesting displays, about the historical nature of the area plus downstairs a feature on the history of the local newspaper was provided. For a small museum, we all found it worthwhile
