This is a historical landmark that was install as a memorial to the soldiers that have passed in war. The edifice is impressive and plates mark the names of the fallen. If your lucky you will be in the area when the bells chime.

The tower is located by the river and a central park area. Wonderful place to stroll, feed the geese and chat with the locals.

Was here for Remembrance Day 2016. There was a parade of veterans and police to the front of the tower. After the ceremony the carillon was played and it was fantastic.

Great to hear the bells on the hour and quarter, it is beside a little park and river and has memories from first and second world wars.

Very hard to find parking near the memorial. On one side it was in disrepair so you couldn't use the stairs. Interesting to read the plaques and see it.

The war memorial has a deep historical thread to the world wars. The bells are "called upon" to ring out melodies and songs during all important events in the centre of Simcoe.
