This is a great museum, sharing lots of information about Welland's past, along with antique items to see. Great building too - - the old library, which is a Carnegie building.

Personnel knowledgeable and could recommend maps, info on many fences, directions to best views of canal. Several videos running of shipping in canal. Stills available of earlier times.

The Welland Museum is a must see for local people especially. they have quite an array of exhibits, the staff are excellent and well versed in local knowledge. The gift shop is very reasonable, they also have special exhibits and activities for young people

The staff work very hard keeping Welland's heritage alive. Always fun to go and have a look around at the displays.

Worth spending an hour or two looking through the museum. Even has an indoor lacrosse area with nets for kids or adults to enjoy.
