This was the first serious hike we did while on our vacation. It was challenging right off the start. It feels like you just go up forever with no relief at all. I had a few choice words during this hike due to the steepness.....More

This hike is a solid push up, but worth it. When you get to the saddle, stop and take it in, but make that final ascent to the peak. You'll be glad you did.

Absolutely love this hike in Canmore and though its lots of uphill and a difficult scree scramble at the top, it's well worth the awesome views!

Ha Ling Peak soars above the township of Canmore, at the western end of the range of Mt Lawrence Grassi. Access this apparent beast via Spray Lake Road, which takes you from the township a considerable elevation gain up past a couple of lakes and...More

This was my first hike in Canada and absolutely stunning! However it was pretty tough up the top and I had to stop at the bottom of horseshoe/saddle as a bit freaked out by how high up I was. Still so pretty and glad I...More

I personally did not hike this trail but my 12 yr old son did. Not recommended for children under 10 since it is a challenging uphill hike. Some spots are treacherous. Will Need hiking boots, get there early to avoid too much foot traffic. Be...More

The trail is just over 5 kms but is like a zigzag! We did it in late April so still some slippery spots with ice and snow at higher elevations! At the top it is truly magical! You definitely feel insignificant looking at all the...More

Ha Ling Peak is great place to hike, few mins from Canmore downtown. Beautiful drive passing grassi lake, on mountain base to the trailhead. Trailhead is located across the road from the parking and has a small sign. Very difficult hike with steep mountain trail...More
