Cleveland Dam is a short drive up Capilano Road to a place that is green, parking is easy and a view of the top of the dam. It's a splendid setting to appreciate the Great West Coast mountains, gorges and rivers. It's a quiet place...More

Cleveland Dam is located close to the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, so it is worthwhile adding to your trip if you have come this far. The Dam was undergoing maintenance when we visited, so there were workers and scaffolding and numerous other impediments, so perhaps...More

Was told this wa sa must see but to be honest - there wasn't much to look at !! Just a concrete dam and some workmen. Perhaps - if I had more time to explore the other side there may have been some better views.

As you walk up a few steps (can probably go around them) you will see an expanse of green grass leading up to the Capilano Lake which was created when this dam was built. This day there were a couple of high school classes here...More

You can walk out onto the top of the dam and look down (in fright) or cross over and hike trails. Once you are on the other side, you are in West Vancouver, and you can walk/hike/bike up trails that tae you into the lower...More

A big free dam you can walk across. A few trails in the area too. A great local stop if you happen to be in the area.

Cleveland Dam provides one of the water sheds which provides domestic water for metro Vancouver. For those that are in need of nourishment there's a Chinese restaurant across the road. I've also found this restaurant useful when one needs to use the washroom

I would not make special trip to the Dam, if you are in the area or on your way to Grouse Mountain it worth to stop by for 15-20 minutes

There is no construction on the dam, nor the park beside it. . . There might be some road work on the road that goes up to it, but it will allow traffic thru because it goes to major tourist attractions . . . well worth any... More

I believe there are some bus stops but I too had a rental car, it's literally 4 minutes from the bridge, but what a sight. I think a taxi can take you there, it's truly on the same road 4-5 minutes
