Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Daughter insisted we (4 of us) go here. Did not disappoint. Easy hike to the bridge and then down to the water. Watch people cliff jumping into the narrow, frigid pool. Spectacular scenery and smells. Love the warning signs.

The Lynn Canyon bridge is not as large or touristy as Capilano Bridge but given the fact that it's free, it's a well worth a visit. The trails are well maintained and there is a crystal clear swimming area easily accessible even for children. Very clean and modern facilities are also available. Hint- if you don't find parking at the top parking lot, then drive to the lower lot.

Every time I visit Lynn Canyon, I feel so rejuvenated like I’m a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Vancouver. Whereas it’s just a short drive.
So the suspension bridge is not as high and long and magnificent as Capilano, but if you don’t want crowds, queues or expense, then go and try Lynn Canyon.
(And TBH, I kinda like it better here)
I always go and check this place out even though I’ve been here more than 5 times.
It’s just pretty no matter what season you go!

We visited after seeing how expensive Capilano suspension bridge was. We had a fabulous day out. The bridge was a lot shorter (I visited Capliano 22 years ago) but the kids loved it and you saw a couple of lovely waterfalls. We walked to the 30 foot pool and the kids had a swim. The water was really cold though. Bring some water shoes as it’s very stoney. It was very busy and lots of people jumping off high rocks despite the warnings. We walked the trails and round the lake, lots of steps and elevations. A good few hours in the fresh air.

So we opted for Lynn Canyon Park and Suspension Bridge instead of the Capilano Park and Suspension Bridge just for the huge price difference. Lynn Canyon is free! I did my homework beforehand and read the reviews and saw pictures of what Lynn Canyon had to offer but let me tell you for the price of free this place is even better in person! The views were amazing and the suspension is great even though it's not as long as the on at Capilano. While the hike through the park is not treacherous I will warn you that there is a lot of stairs to climb which only will get worse the deeper into the canyon you go. Just a pro tip to give you if you're wondering if you, a family member, or friend can handle it.

This is such a wonderful hidden gem to most tourists... It can get a little busy in summer and a little slippery in winter - but it sure beats spending $100s at the Capilano Suspension Bridge to be around 1000's of stressed out screaming families... That's for sure...

In the midst of a lovely forested area, a short suspension bridge offers views of a small waterfall and pools. It's a way to experience a bit of nature within the greater Vancouver area and is accessible by bus, which we appreciated. It is also free and there are plenty of well-marked trails and beautiful places to explore. There are clean public restrooms, and a café is open on certain days/times.

Nice place. On a nice day the suspension bridge trail is very crowded, but the view of the small waterfall is still nice. Take the trail with the 30 ft pool that looks just spectacular.

We were on a 4 day trip to Vancouver and part of it, we visited this on 3rd day on route to sea to sky. this is very nice one with a good valley. for those who dont have time to visit Capilano or other suspension bridges, this can be a great alternative.

Go here instead of Capilano Suspension Bridge!! I’d say Lynn Canyon offers the same, if not better walking trails. Suspension Bridge had maybe 5 people when we went, and felt more secure. Offered multiple different treks to go on, beautiful scenery and amazing waterfalls. Dog friendly

Hi Jenny, sorry for super late response. But actually I don't know the answer of your question anyway 🤷. Hope you've found it and enjoyed the the bridge

Would it be difficult to bring a baby in a carrier to cross this bridge?
Written 10 January 2019
Hi, somehow, it's up to what kind of carrier you have I guess the best is the one like backpack which people carrying babies and infants in it, I don't know what you call it

Are there any trails that would be appropriate for someone with limited mobility?
Written 17 August 2018
If you go to the trail around rice lake- it’s a different parking lot- the trails through there are very flat and wide. I saw a few wheel chairs going around parts of rice lake.

Is there shorter hiking to bring toddlers? I saw some people saying 2 min walk, and others saying 15 min walk.
Thank you!
Written 17 February 2018
You’ve probably been and gone by now. But you can access the bridge from two sides. One walk is about 15 minutes and the other is a couple minutes. As noted the bridge is very wobbly and you need both hands to hold on. The longer walk would be tough on a toddler because of the stairs going done to the water.

What hotels or B & B's are close to this attraction?
Written 18 May 2016
Crystal's View Bed & Breakfast would be the closest accommodation to that location that is also cost effective and more central to other hot spots. If you'd like more of a budget, you can check out airbnb for home stays.
If you don't mind the higher prices, I'd take the recommendation of staying downtown and transit to the location, so you can stay more central to downtown (if that's your thing). If you prefer nature and wilderness over urban core city, then you're better to stay on the north shore.
Message me if you'd like other suggestions.

Those hours make sense as its getting dark earlier. Probably will close even earlier once we change the clocks
