Rather tourism, but there are a number of good stores around, especially for cheese, wine and other food items. Decent self service eateries, with good outdoor/indoor seating. Worthwhile visiting.

Catch the Sea Bus (under C$3 for a ticket valid 90 minutes) from downtown Vancouver over to Lonsdale Quay (about a 15-min ride across the bay). If you're lucky to have nice weather, you can get some great views of the Vancouver skyline on both...More

Be aware that the market has its own parking garage, so you don't have to go far to park your car! Go down to the very bottom of Lonsdale and turn right, past the market a little, and on the left is the garage. You...More

We were in Vancouver for 3 days and weather was poor so we decided to catch the ferry over to Lonsdale Quay. It was a worthwhile trip, the ferry gave us a great view of Vancouver’s skyline and the market had some quirky food and...More

Had expected more from the North Vancouver market. The view of downtown from Lonsdale Quay is nice but the market itself is disappointing. The second floor is almost empty. Food selection is also very limited. Except for a brief stroll and a couple photos, this...More

Perfect spot for lunch, free parking, and lets everyone get exactly what they want. Halima Grill opened another spot here, and there are gluten free options, both with and without 'kick'.

This waterfront market is literally on the opposite side of downtown Vancouver. It is easily accessible by taking the Seabus which is actually a ferry serving this market from the Vancouver downtown waterfront, as part of the Skytrain transit system. One could get a panoramic...More

I loved the fact that the market is at the waterfront! While there isn't a long seawall as in Vanc, I had a short run along the waterfront near the Lonsdale Quay. The market is small, but I enjoyed walking through it several times on...More

Breathtaking views and plenty of sights to take in. Sit, relax and watch tourists and locals alike enjoy the water, wildlife, sunsets and views of downtown across Burrard's inlet.
