Bought 2 vouchers in 2019 at the Vancouver Canucks Autism Fundraiser. The pandemic hit and we were unable to go until now. Called Lulu Island Winery and was told that they would not honour it even though I spent close to $250 on the vouchers. Clearly, this winery has terrible customer service because I do not see why they wouldn't honour the vouchers given the crazy circumstances.
Will not want to give my money to someone who treats their customers that way.
Never going.

Regarding the wine tour we took today. Paul was very pleasant an informative. We had a groupon for 4 persons which included a Signature Charcuterie Platter. When we showed up the winery had paired us with 4 more people and their 3 small children. The groupon I paid for was for 4 persons not and extra 7.
The Signature Charcuterie Platter also was shared by all of us.. I feel we didn't get what we had purchased. We did this tour last year with friends. 4 of us. The same platter of food for the 4 of us and tour for 4 of us, that now the 11 of us had to share. I feel the Groupon was midleading this time. Contacting the winery did not help. They said it should not have happened and will try to ensure it doesn't again, by letting groupon know. I requested a complimentary tour for the 4 of us and had no response. Re the wines. I didn't like any of the reds or white. The ice wines were very good. Beautiful building. They took away the massive totem pole they had. That was amazing. The tour operator was informative and polite.

Thank you Alan for the excellent wine tasting that you offered us today. The Merlot was our favourite and it was interesting to try the blueberry wine. We will definitely be back for another visit!

We were out for a walk along Westminster Highway, and walked onto the Winery grounds, and as we passed the front entrance, we were invited in. We were greeted by Alan, an extremely personable and knowledgeable sommelier who gave us a brief introduction to the winery and the details of it's fruit and grape wines.
The winery allows free tasting of up to 6 of its wines, including their ice wines, and it was a very laid-back and enjoyable experience. Alan obviously takes pride in the winery's offerings, and does a fine job of helping the visitor to appreciate them as well.
Although we ultimately purchased their white ice wine, there was no pressure to buy. This is a very pleasant experience, and the wines are as pleasant as the visit.

We did the short tour with a group of 6, was very basic and you didn’t get to see much of the vineyard. The cheeseboard however was a lovely touch and it was a lovely winery. The main problem we had was the manager (who led the tour) Tiffany was quite sharp and rude to both of the staff members who had came in to help her.

We visited Lulu Island Winery on May 29th with another couple, using a group-on coupon for a wine tour including a tasting & charcuterie board for 4. We hadn’t heard of this winery before, & were pleasantly surprised at the size & beauty of the building, & their multiple tasting rooms. Our tour, led by Cody, was the best we’ve ever had, better than tours we’ve been to in California & the Okanagan. He was very knowledgeable, & happy to answer all of our many questions. After the tour we enjoyed a lovely selection of the wines offered, & the delicious charcuterie board was perfectly matched to each wine we tried. We of course had to take some bottles home with us..love knowing this winery is so close to home, so we can go back often to get some more! Thanks Cody!

Received our wine tour of Lulu Island Winery as a gift and we really weren’t sure what to expect... It was fantastic and our guide, Cody, did an amazing job of teaching us about where they get the grapes and the intricacies of harvesting the frozen fruit for Ice Wine. We then toured the wine tasting rooms and walked through the facility to see how they make wine and then bottle it. He then led us through the tasting of their great wines and superb Ice Wine accompanied by a nice charcuterie platter that highlighted his description of what food would best accompany the wines. All this combined with his great sense of humor and incredible depth of knowledge! I have been on many wine tours before, but this was one of the best experiences I have ever had and I would highly recommend it, especially with Cody! Groupon seems to have the best deal for tickets!)

The staff are very hospitable, welcoming and professional. They explain the types of ice wine & how it's made. They give you different samples of their award winning ice wine to taste & explain how it's done. It gives you an idea if this suits your tastes for future buying. They have crackers to eat or water to drink between each test. I don't think it's a place to take children especially if they want to taste as well. A good place for business people should they have parties, etc., Open for tours daily from 11 am. - 2 p.m. and call 24 hours before you plan to be there.

I tried a few of the wines on offer at Lulu Island, of course the ice wines were sweet, but one of the others was sweet enough that if you told me it was an ice wine too I would have believed you. Luckily, I like things sweet.

I don’t go to too many winery tours; the last time was the Napa Valley a few years ago but the size of the Lulu Island Winery tasting rooms was a surprise. The winery has at least 3 large display / tasting rooms and each room had a long counter for wine tastings. Of course there are the wines and miscellaneous dry goods for sale in the display rooms.
Our tour guide was friendly and answered our many questions. Before our wine tasting we saw an informative 5 minute video on the harvesting of the grapes for ice wine production.
We took an abbreviated tour with wine tasting only. The full tour includes touring the vineyard and the plant which was not available to us.
We sampled 4 wines in the following order from dry to sweet.
• 2015 Special Reserve Merlot red wine
• 2015 Pinot Gris white wine
• 2015 Blueberry fruit wine
• 2014 Viognier ice wine – a white grape variety from the Rhone region. I am not a wine connoisseur but I found the best tasting wine by far was this sweet dessert ice wine. This is not a cheap wine at $75 for 375 millilitres (13 ounces).
An interesting tour that only took about 30-35 minutes for the video and wine tastings. If you are wine connoisseur it is probably worth your while to visit (with the full tour).
I would rate the experience at 3.75 out of 5 trending towards a “good” rating - a rating that doesn’t exist on the TripAdvisor rating system.
Notes and Tips:
• There were 2 children in our wine tasting group and they were served orange juice.
• The winery owns 5 vineyards in the south Okanagan, in the Oliver Osoyoos area. The grapes are then shipped to the plant for processing.
• The winery also has a vineyard in the back.
• The blueberries are sourced from local farms.
• The winery is located about 2 miles (3 kilometers) east of the Knight Street bridge interchange by the Richmond Auto Mall.
• Lots of parking
• Check out the website
