Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This cinema is the worst. They demanded to check our bags when we came in (to make sure we didn’t have ‘outside food’ in there) and confiscated my child’s home made sandwich telling us it’s ‘company policy’. My child was crying. Seriously? What the hell. I have heard other parents complain about this too. Stay away from this place. They think it is still a prison and they are the prison wardens. Horrible.

This luxurious cinema complex is rapidly gaining in popularity. The Pentridge Cinema has an appealing range of films at convenient times. The seats are very comfortable and all recline. By thw way, there is 3 hours of free parking under the shopping complex while you watch your film.

Love it! Regular previews for "Gold Club Over 60" members include glass of wine or beer. Also Cheap Tuesdays $8 for members. Divine recliner seats and 3 hours free parking. Buy a cheap quick bite to take away from IGA.

The Pentridge Cinema is part of the new Coburg multiplex. The cinema complex has 15 auditoriuns, with individual tables and footrests. The new complex is very comfortable and up-to-date, This vibrant one-of-a kind urban village sprung from the remnants of the historic Pentridge Prison. It also has a convenient Ritchies Supermarket.

We finally made it to an Open Air Showing of The Matrix after other showings of Die Hard and The Rock were cancelled due to the high winds. Was worth the wait. Initially the volume was a bit subliminal but once that was sorted it was excellent. As the cinema is in the old prison yard its worth a walk around.
