Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The sight and sound of so many boats and yachts in the marina was a visual reminder of Auckland’s sailing heritage and the popularity of the sport.
A relaxing way to spend a few hours, just looking over the marina, with the harbour bridge in the background.

We spent a night here a few days ago while travelling in our Motorhome.

There are some parks available for motorhomes and caravans at Z Pier section of the marina.

Lovely views of the Sky Tower, only a short walk to Wynyard Quarter, Viaduct basin area and down town Auckland.

Even tho this is a car park area, it was a great place to spot to stay. $20.00 for 24hrs is reasonable for the position it is in.

A little motorway traffic noise. But not too bad. Could be worse on a week day tho.

City of sail It is the largest yacht marina in Auckland, the city of sailing.
It is anchored by over 2,000 large and small yachts. A lot of locals like to swim, fish, skin scuba, surf and barbecue while sailing along with their acquaintances. Anyone can buy and sell yachts, usually deal with yacht-authorized agents, and sell them privately.
Looking at the Auckland harbor bridge, sailing the ocean far away, today local people are enjoying a wonderful life.
The Westhaven Marina is one of the largest marinas in the world and has four yacht clubs.
Auckland has hosted the World Cup, the America's Cup, and is the center of the world championship. Having won the Americas Cup competition last year with the United States,
The next tournament is held again in Auckland. Having a nice yacht in New Zealand, the powerhouse of the yacht, is the hope of everyone. New Zealanders are living a wonderful life with wonderful nature.

Previous experience here has been excellent from helpful staff to excellent lo cation and facilities.
This trip was for a berth as a shelter from a storm. I booked by phone from out on the water thus not great comms but they fitted me in - thanks. Due to unpredictability I booked til the Monday but when weather eased a few days earlier I said I was departing and they were quite emphatic that there was no flexibility. I know that the marina was "full" due to the weather as per conversation overheard on telephone but the staff could not be swayed.. policy was the reason given. I have been in hospitality for many years and I do know booking systems and know that it is easier to "shrink and sell" than to extend a stay when busy but nope!! POLICY!!!
The "can do" pleasant attitude of previous has changed and I wonder if a change in management has created a change in staff attitude.
That fact that the ablutions were no longer spotless - hair in the showers for several days etc.tends to support that
For what was a show piece that I recommended to all I was left with a rather bad taste.
|Not for the $$$'s involved, but for the attitude
