Even though the temple ground and the tower are an odd sight I wouldn't recommend going here. On the ground we were met by a rather vicious dog which I had to scare away with a stick. The grounds themselves are messy, there is broken...More

We visited the temple on Sunday. The temple was not crowded. The dragon was impressive. However we can't go to the top because of the electricity problem. We went to the top floor of the building nearby to take pictures. The people were friendly.

More like a circus grounds or an amusement park than a temple, Wat Samphran features a 17-story pink tower with a gigantic dragon encircling it, with its head protruding from the top of the tower. Visitors actually scale the tower, climbing inside the bowels ("gut")...More

Although it is a landmark building visible well from the highway, it is quite difficult to find. That is probably the reason why it is not frequented by tourists. Beneath the amazing temple tower structure with the coiled dragon around it - there is an...More

The dragon that coils around the temple is certainly one of the main attraction of the place. You enter via the main entrance which is shaped like a turtles mouth and into a dark cave whereby there is a foot of Buddha for worshipping. On...More
