Never seen such a beautiful Fort. It looks far better than Palakkad fort and Kannur St.Angelo's fort.It is the best place in Kasarkode district to spend an evening.But facilities provided by the Tourism Department should be improved

Bekal Fort, one of the forts of greatest indian rulers and brave soldier Tipu Sultan. This is one of the beautiful attractions of Kerala located at Kasargod

It is an interesting place to go if you are in Bekal. Some of the views of the sea are nice. There is not much information available at the site-I would have liked to learn a bit more of the history. It is worth going if you are in Bekal, though avoid going mid day as it gets very hot... More

I think this is the biggest tourist atraction in North Kerala and it is really worth to go there if you are in the area. The structure is very impressive, well maintained and the views from the fort's wall onto the sea and beach are stunning. Best time to visit is late afternoon and sunset, avoid visiting during the midday... More

Nice Place to Visit.This fort built near sea shore. So we can enjoy both fort and beach.in the entrance of fort you can pray before the God Mukhya Prana(HANUMAN)

an indian friend confessed north kerala does not have much to do or see!! unless you choose to combine with another place!!

Wonderful Fort which is now being taken care. I wanted to go to this place ever since Maniratnam shot the song for the movie Bombay. We loved walking around and spent a good amout of time. Only flip side is when its hot ... it is seriously hot . In all a good place to spend sometime

built in 1650 AD by Shivapa Nayaka, Bekal Fort is spread across 40 Acres with a very large observation tower.The fort short to fame after the song, "Uyire' from the film Bombay was shot here. Good views from the fort. Avoid visiting in afternoon as it gets very sunny. Need 2-3 hours to visit all the places at leisure

Big clean fort,well maintained but be sure that you visit in the morning or late afternoon The place is too sunny and hot to be confortable during the day.
