Very interesting visit. This is possibly the largest and best wine museum. It was set up by one of the local wine brokers initially with his private collection and the museum has just grown to become one of the largest collections possibly in the world....More

Vivanco's winery is located in Briones, a small town 30km away from Logroño. When you enter the area, you can see it's quite new and well prepared. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We did several things: a tour through the winery, very interesting....More

This winery is a large, polished operation. We tend to enjoy the smaller, more rustic wineries, but this was an excellent tour and has encouraged us to not be so quick to skip over the large wineries in the future (we will return and see...More

I visited Vivanco on a chilly December day. The skies were gloriously blue and the entire winery was bathed in bright sunlight. Against the backdrop of acres of barren vines and the hills of Briones the vineyard looked majestic. We signed on for the winery...More

Unfortunately, we only had around an hour to go round all five rooms which wasn't enough time at all. The audio guides were helpful (although temperamental). From the history of wine, to wine accessories through the ages; bottles, barrels and corks, to the grapes themselves...More

This museum is worthy of a visit. The museum is well laid out and follows the process of making wine. There is sufficient information in English to help explain exhibits.

We were recommended to go by the reception in our hotel and they were right. Although Vivanco is a family winery, the museum was about the history of Rioja wines rather than their own story. It incorporates many facets - interaction for children of all...More
