Even though the castle is now in a very ruined state, it is still a very interesting place to wander around. The views from here are delightful and the walks are highly recommended. Plenty of free parking
Nice little ruin in a very scenic part of the island, there lots of wild life around the site, and several different walks can be started from here. Definitely worth a look if your intrested in the history of the island, parking is free.
The castle comprises of an arch and some ruins; the arch is beautiful in the Jersey granite. There are spectacular views looking down the cliffs into the water and impressive views across to Guernsey and Sark. Nice for a quick exploration.
To call it a "Castle" may build hopes up too far. It was never designed to be lived in, (no water), only as a temporary stronghold against (Viking?), invaders.
