The Channel Islands Military Museum in St.Ouen, Jersey is housed in a former German bunker sitting right on Hitler's Atlantic Wall. The bunker housed a 10.5cm gun which in the event of a landing would have opened fire on the beach. Today all the rooms in the bunker are full of items from the time, ranging from German military equipment to Civilian items of the time. There are lots of period photographs and stories from local inhabitants as well as a 40 minute commentary. This is the most comprehensive coolection of Occupation artefacts to be seen on the Island. Visitors to the museum are always amazed how much there is to see, read and hear in the museum, no one leaves dissapointed and the entry price is not to be beaten. You will find the Museum at the northern end of the 5 Mile Road in St.Ouen, just opposite Jersey Pearl. Look for the round Nepoleonic Tower (Lewis Tower) and the Museum is just alongside, look for the flag. If you are visiting us by bus please check at the bus station for the correct bus number as it does change during the season. It is also possible to follow the Museum on Facebook, just type in The Channel Island Military Museum, so thats leaving the last "s" off Islands. We update every few days with new items found or pieces which may be of interest that are in our store that you don't normally get to see.

Fascinating private collection of the German occupation of Jersey. Tremendous volume of actual German equipment, artefacts and weaponry. Well worth a visit.

At £5 each to get in we thought this was really good value, it’s not massive but really interesting to see and hear what occurred on the island during WW2

Museum is interesting and worth a visit, but definitely not for very long. We were there less than an hour so seemed quite expensive.More

The time you spend in the museum is down to each individual person, there is a 40 minute commentary along with much to read and look at. The stories give a great insight into life here during the Occupation and there are quite a few...More

As the saying goes, "don't judge a book by it's cover". The museum is housed in a 10.5cm coastal defence bunker and does not appear to be a supersized structure. But the displays held within are the best original civilian and German Occupation items to...More
