Redwings Oxhill is currently home to over 80 rescued horses, ponies and donkeys. The centre's staff offer regular 'Walk and Talk' tours and horse care demonstrations, while the Information Centre provides an opportunity to find out a little more about all things horsey. On site there is a cafe serving tasty refreshments as well as a gift shop for souvenirs of your visit, proceeds of which go to support the hundreds of equines in the charity's care. While visiting Redwings Oxhill, you may like to support the work of Redwings by sponsoring one of their friendly resident Adoption Stars, either for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. A year's membership to the Redwings Adoption Club costs just £12.50! Oxhill's Adoption Stars include Major a stunning Shire cross, Wensley a mischievous miniature Shetland, and an entire herd of donkeys all waiting to meet you! Open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 4pm, all year round.

Visited with the grandkids and had really interesting time. Some of the stories are so sad but lovely to see the horses and donkeys doing so well in the care of the staff. Free entrance but donations very welcome.

Came across this horse and donkey sanctuary by chance. Lovely staff were very helpful and welcoming. Teas and cakes were brilliant. The horses and donkeys were an entertainment in themselves. If you like horses this is the place for you.

I've been here a few times and adopted a donkey for my son. He is only a toddler but loves walking around, petting the horses and playing on the playground. The cafe and gift shop have a nice selection of things as well. I have a few minor issues with the place, the playground is sometimes locked with no explanation... More

Hi Sara thank you so much for your lovely review and for your kind support through adopting a donkey! We really appreciate that and it's lovely to hear that your son enjoys his visits! Regarding the points you raise, firstly I'm very sorry about the playground being shut when you visited. Every morning through the winter the team have had... More

What a wonderful place! Such a worthy cause and such happy animals. Free admission but we adopted a lovely donkey called Arya for £12.50 which is a really nice amount to donate! Great cause.

My friend and I visited yesterday, just to get away from hustle n bustle of Xmas preparations. We had a lovely time. The Staff, though muddy, working hard on a foggy morning, were all SO HELPFUL & CHEERFUL. I was impressed at the cleanliness and wonderful condition of the horses and donkeys. The signposted walks were flat and easy to... More

We visited this place on a friends recommendation and we were not disappointed. What a superb afternoon we all spent. The horses are all really well looked after and happy and the staff very informative. There is a really lovely gift shop and a small café. There is no charge for entry but the staff on reception were really helpful... More

Such a lovely way to spend an afternoon! We went on a cold November day and still had a great time! I really love when a charity thinks how to make their plight work economically and this is great! Walking round and having lots of love with the variety of Horses and Donkeys was great, the place is very well... More

We were staying in Banbury a few days and I really wanted to visit this horse sanctuary. So glad I did, it was soul soothing to see these lovely animals being looked after, and to read their heartbreaking stories (some, not all come from tragic circumstances). The staff are really welcoming and helpful, anything you want to know just ask... More

This is my special place and I love coming here with family, friends and my fiance.
