Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I found this to be very expensive and not worth the money. It probably only took us about 15 mins to walk the grounds and do the maze and then about 45 mins playing mini golf. For an adult and 2 children this cost us $78.
Kids wanted lunch too but after looking at the prices we decided to go elsewhere.
If you come here I'd suggest just doing mini golf. Don't waste money on grounds entry.

Animalia Sand Sculpture until 30 April 2020. Even those unfamiliar with Graeme Base classics can enjoy the creativity and quality of the sand sculptures by a dozen artists from around the world. The park itself had entertainment suitable for sub-teen families. Cafe had healthy and fried options. $15 entry charge.

With young kids you might have a great time, we thought we'd check out the augmented reality Animalia exhibit. The sculptures were amazing, though not much else for us really... Some nice gardens, the maze had just had a severe trim so didn't really operate. There is also mini golf and a cafe onsite for an extra charge.

No, no, no.... Don't do it. People travelling down from the city, tourist coming from overseas and locals should stay right away till some money is spent on the "i don't know what". Work over and the ACCC will be notified. Unmaintained equipment {if you have access to them} and lack of supervision by staff whom I wonder what training they have. Child stuck on climbing wall for 20 minutes. Child sprayed in eye with aerosol paint whilst spray painting, no safety equipment
provided.

Visited the park Wednesday Jan 11th 2023. We paid for the lot. Sand sculptures, park and mini gulf. How disappointing. Three adults one child was over $150. The sand sculptures were not worth paying for. There were only a few, they lacked detail and looked shabby. The attendant said kids had climbed on them, doubt it not very well done. We felt they should have not been extra given what they were. The rest of the park is ordinary, lots of overgrown wetlands.Carousel tiny, train miniature both suitable for kids up to 3 or 4. Mini gulf no shade, not really worth $10 per person per game. Doubt this park will survive going forward. Hardly anyone there. The staff however were very pleasant. Hopefully it's a work in progress.

Had a great time and for price (For sculptures and park entry $15 / $12 kids and seniors) really worth it.
Saw a lot of reviews prior to going criticising the maintenance of the park. I thought it was fine given the price. It is a small business they do the best they can. Also read about service being rude but the person i dealt with both in front and at the ride was really nice - she even gave my son a free carousel ride.
Sand sculptures was nice and not crowded as it used to be at Frankston beach. My son is in prep and the alphabets theme was very fitting. We also tried the AR app on each.
A lot of board games to entertain the kids and the mazes were a lot of fun.
Not too crowded and busy and a lot of free space for social distancing which was a big plus during the current covid times.
My son kept the map and already wants to go again. We will be back. Thank you!

We made a mistake by taking full park entrance for ourselves and 2 grandchildren aged 6 and 4. The children were only interested in the dinosaurs and related activity which occupied them for 90 minutes. The train ride was very short. The gardens were OK and the mini golf was not suitable for young kids. The cafe was alright but the gifts were very expensive. So $150 for 90 minutes was pretty poor value. Should have/could have paid less than half that for just the dinosaurs. Moral of this tale...do better research!!

I took my 3 children to the Park for mini-golf during the School holidays. The mini-golf course is a simple lay-out and is very basic. It was reasonably well maintained and we enjoyed it.
We then went to get some lunch from the cafe. It felt dirty. The tables were sticky. We ordered toasties and milk shakes. After waiting for about 30 mins we asked how far away our order was. The girl who took our order had no memory of it, despite the fact that we were the only ones in the cafe. We then had to place the order again. Even then it took another 20 mins to get the food. When it arrived the food was burnt and the milk shakes (that cost $7 each) were room temperature. There was no apology. Apart from the lady at the entrance (Jane) the customer service was appalling.
Spend your money somewhere else.

Wetlands more like swamp lands. As for the sandcastles these sad excuses are older than the pyramids and in no way a draw card. The place does not warrant an entry price and is in need of repair. Don’t waste your time visiting this sad excuse of a discovery park. The only thing your going to discover is that you have been ripped off. The website needs to be updated to reflect its current state. Everything is overgrown and equipment is in need of repair or replacement.

Run down, maze and gardens in need of attention. I believe it is up for sale so I am guessing there may be contributing factors.
Save your time and money and head to the Arthurs Seat maze instead.
