- Doha K2 contributionsAmazing day at hot springs with amazing surroundings and serviceI booked the hot springs for my partner and I and from my first telephone call to them, emails and service upon our arrival, everything was perfect. We were treated with the upmost respect and they simplified and explained everything, no matter how many questions i had. I struggled with the lock in the locker room (i wasn't the only one) and received assistance from the staff member who needed to assist me a number of times yet she remained friendly and calm. We didn't dine there but i am thinking of booking for this weekend for a different experience. Absolutely loved it!Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. - dadmumkidsandadogMelbourne, Australia5 contributionsKids should be bannedJust got home from Alba. I don't really write reviews but think it’s important for the team to get this feedback. It was a lovely warm Sunday evening, perfect for a relaxing and peaceful visit to Alba.... except for the screaming toddler, his awful misbehaving older brother and their parents who clearly did not care that their dreadful and horrible children were upsetting everyone. The young lifeguards and inexperienced staff on duty clearly did not have the management skills to deal with just appalling behaviour. These guests should have been asked to leave Please introduce children free days or nights. I worked extremely hard to save for this day out. I expect to be able to enjoy it as your website states..” Indulge in the peaceful surrounds ..”We are disappointed to have not met your expectations on your recent visit. Providing exceptional experiences for our guests is what we aim to deliver. We strive to make everyone feel welcome at Alba, and are sorry you were unable to find tranquillity. We continue to invest in training for our front line staff and will ensure your feedback is passed on to our team to enable us to improve. We don’t offer child-free days however The Terrace and rooftop pools, The Salts and The Clouds are for guests 16 years and older. - Dorothy KMelbourne, Australia19 contributionsAlba thermal springs &spa.Today we enjoyed the most beautiful day at the Alba Thermal Springs and spa. From the moment we entered we were greeted with absolutely fabulous reception staff. The whole experience was majestic. The bathroom/change rooms were extremely clean and well maintained. The pools were clean and inviting even on a very warm day. The staff we encountered around the grounds were so friendly and helpful. Lunch in the restaurant was superb. The day was one of pure tranquil and bliss and I commented to my husband that it felt as we were floating we were so relaxed. Congratulations on a world class experience. We will be back.Hello Dorothy Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are delighted you were able to take a moment to find tranquillity during your visit and have left feeling relaxed. - tonyUnited Kingdom162 contributionsAlba VRs Peninsula hot springsWe visited Alba the night after visiting Peninsula hot springs. For almost double the price we were expecting something spectacular after being blown away at the peninsula hot springs. Unfortunately alba is more of concrete jungle than a calm oasis. The design will suit some tastes I’m sure, but everything was Straight edges and you couldn’t really relax in many of the pools. They are trying to apeal to a slightly different market, which I get. So why then would you allow children in the facility?! They were noisy and it didn’t feel very relaxing. We also decided to grab some food and a drink. That was a mistake. $45 for a Fish finger sandwich was quite ridiculous. It took us far too long to be served drinks. Especially our second drinks. Almost 30 minutes infact despite there being 3 active staff and 8 Customers. Go figure. We almost gave up so I went to pay for just the first round Of drinks. ‘Oh, do you not want your second drink’ the waiter said pointing to the unattended drink on the bar which ice Had been melting for at least 10 Minutes into the drink. Poor service. Save your money and go with the tried and tested Peninsula hot springsThank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your recent visit. We are sorry to have not met your expectations. Alba is inclusive, and everyone is welcome. We do offer private bathing on our rooftop and terrace for guests over 16 years of age. Big thanks to Craig, Charlie, Jo, Sophie, James and Nicole who all looked after us exceptionally well along with the rest of the team, who were all working hard. Set on top of a hill the private terrace pools are very relaxing with a great view of the centre. All of the pools are very inviting and clean. The entire day was so enjoyable it was over before we knew it. My masseuse James was exceptional and listened to all my needs. I can highly recommend the hot stone massage. We rounded off the day with lunch in the restaurant which was very good. We settled for a couple of entrees to share and a glass or two of bubbles. - Tracy N27 contributionsTruly delightfulThis was my 2nd visit to this beautiful spa and it was equally as wonderful as the first visit 12 months ago. It is fresh clean with fine lines and plenty of pools to choose from. Whether it be cold geo warm lap sauna or rain shower. Options are endless. The private terrace pool was just that. Private and worth the extra for something special and just for you looking out over the view and sunset. With bar and food service available this was perfect and just for us. We then went to the private salt float pool and although it was a very different sensation we appreciated the new experience. We only stayed in this float pool for ten minutes as we were keen to get to our hot stone massage. I’ve had plenty of hot stone massages and I have to say this was one of the best. The heavenly aroma of the oils and cloud soft robes and towels make it all the more luxurious. All staff provided excellent service and outwardly appear to love their jobs. From the ease and professionalism of check in to the massage therapist’s to restaurant staff none could be faulted. Lunch in Thyme was exceptional and although they were quite busy service was quick and nothing too much trouble. Special mention to Craig, Charlie, Sophie, Nicole and Jo for making our day an absolutely delightful experience we won’t forget.Hello Tracy Thank you for taking the time to share your review. - Nigel BChipping Ongar, United Kingdom446 contributionsLovely Relaxing ExperienceI visited Alba Springs with my son while we were exploring the Mornington Peninsula. I had flown in from the UK the day before and this was a lovely, relaxing experience to help get over my jet lag. There is a large car park and the concrete building initially looks quite bleak. The doors open into a large reception with lovely smells and friendly, helpful staff who explained the set up and guided us around the facilities. There is a large circular open changing area with lockers containing a robe and towel. There didn't seem to be any changing cubicles but it was possible to change in one of the showers. The many different pools are set on different level terraces and include several cold water plunge pools. The landscaping needs to mature a bit for the place to develop a less austere feel. Overall, a lovely place to visit and very relaxing.Hi Nigel, thank you for your kind review. We're happy you enjoyed your experience in our springs and have left feeling relaxed. - Karla PMelbourne, Australia3 contributionsTranquil and luxuriousI visited Alba Monday just gone and was welcomed into the space by Yvonne, who was friendly and walked me through all the details and answered my (many) questions. This was my first time bathing, and I was struck by the design of the pools - they have been integrated into the landscape so sensitively, it’s such a pleasing space to spend time in. I would love to see some desire paths between the pools, to add a the sense of discovery. The garden outlook from the dry sauna is peaceful and really adds to the meditative experience. The restaurant was busy over lunch but it wasn’t hectic or noisy. Service was efficient and the seasonal greens were a standout. I finished my time with an Elemental massage with the delightful Sunny. I loved the use of essential oils in the treatment and Sunny’s touch was exactly right. I very much enjoyed the music selection in between drifting off.Thank you for taking the time to share your review. - Cassandra EMelbourne, Australia71 contributionsPremium price for average experienceI really wanted to love Alba but it was not worth the premium price. I expected at a higher price than the springs down the road for a ‘dine and bathe’ experience it would be 16 and over at minimum, unfortunately not. There is no adults only area unless you want to pay for private pools. The bathrooms were not functional for changing with no benches in showers and large garden features rather than a functional changing space. The pools were not obviously labelled with what the temperature was and I was only aware of one sign at the beginning that advised of temperatures. The dining experience was also average, the entree was out quickly but the mains took around 40 minutes, then another 25-30 to clear and bring out dessert. The restaurant is far from tranquil with excessive noise levels. The food really wasn’t nice enough to justify the price. Overall the staff were faultless, very polite and kind from start to finish.Hello Cassandra, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your recent visit. - Amy H1 contributionTreat yourself!I was gifted springs, dining and massage by a dear friend. The springs were warm and inviting even on an overcast day. It was a lovely vibe with other guests scattered around laughing and chatting. The Thyme restaurant is cozy with a delicious menu and views of the rolling landscape towards the springs that is enjoyed through floor to ceilings windows. I had the fennel salad followed by the beef main. Both meals were delicious. Bursts of flavour and textures in each mouthful! The beef was cooked to perfection. The peanuts in the entree salad were a nice touch. My meal was perfectly paired with a local glass of Rosè. Finished with a coffee it was a close to a Perfect lunch! Staff were helpful, welcoming, fast and attentive during meal service. I then attended my massage in the upstairs spa area. As soon as you reach the top of the stairs, you are taken to a luxurious space. The space is tranquil and cosy with day beds to relax on while waiting for your appointment. The questionnaire before my massage ensured I got exactly what I wanted out of my treatment which I appreciated. My masseuse was lovely. She was kind and explained everything before the treatment and made sure I was comfortable. I was given time and privacy when needed and never felt rushed. I enjoyed the hot rock treatment. I honestly felt like I floated out of the treatment room! It was divine! I would highly recommend any of the facilities at Alba Springs and Spa and I will be back with family and friends! Such a great addition to the peninsula! We are so pleased you enjoyed your experience at Alba and appreciate the time you have taken to share your review. They aim for tranquility but when close to a 1,000 people visit on a Saturday it is so packed that it is difficult to find room in any of the hot springs. I wanted to float like they advertise you can do but that was pretty much impossible without bumping into other guests. The spas are so idyllic but the experience fell far short of our expectations. Our first thoughts were we have joined a cult as so many people were there in their white robes walking round and our second thought was how will we fit in any of the already crowded pools. I would recommend going on a weekday and going early, although there would still probably be queues for the very dark and unclean showers when you finish.

We are disappointed to have not met your expectations on your recent visit. Providing exceptional experiences for our guests is what we aim to deliver. Weekdays are often more tranquil, but we cap guest numbers on the weekend to create space for everyone. The Terrace pools and The Clouds and The Salts on the rooftop are private pools and popular for guests wanting to bath alone or with a friend. Your feedback is important to us as we improve the guest experience in busy periods.

Would skip the restaurant "experience" if I ever came back. Staff took 10 minutes to even take our order when there were literaly two other tables in an empty restaurant. When they got to it - either the waitress that took the order or the barista made a mistake, making a mocha when we had asked for a matcha.
When I immediately confronted the senior staff there she said "we're out of matcha". I responded she should have informed us if they were out of an ingredient and either canceled the order or requested we order a different one. I got met with an "okay then" with a fake smile. Absolutlely baffling and bizarre hospitality service. If I'm going to pay for overpriced crap I at least expect good service! Thankfully they took did not charge us for the drink we did not drink but ONLY when we brought it up the second time.
The Springs themselves were good, tranquil. We went on a weekday so it wasn't especially busy. Nice views. Wish there was a bit more variety or information about the temperature of the springs or the types of minerals we're enjoying. But this place is new so there is obviously time for improvements.

Alba was fabulous when I visited Wednesday last week. The reception was busier than on my previous visits, and there was a bit of confusion with the queue, but Kelsey smoothed everything over when she booked me in.
The staff member inside the spa was so friendly, I felt at ease straight away. The main room of the spa was tranquil and calm.
My masseuse Sunny had a light and gentle touch, which was great in combination with the hot stones. Sunny moved around the space so delicately, I quickly drifted off.
I love seeing everyone in their matching robes when I go to the restaurant. The miso butter greens were delicious as usual. The red rice bowl was tasty but a little overfull, which made it hard to combine all the different elements.

As a frequent customer to the Peninsula Hot Springs, I had recently taken time off work and decided to try the new spa and get some much needed rest and relaxation. I must say, the receptionists were absolutely lovely, and while my spa experience was wonderful, the poor service I received at the restaurant completely ruined the whole experience for me.
I strongly suspect that what I experienced at the restaurant was thinly veiled racism and I feel compelled to share my experience.
During my stay, I visited the restaurant for lunch and again before I left (for dessert), and was utterly dismayed both times, as in both instances I was treated with complete disregard.
During lunch I considered moving to the seating area outside the restaurant, which would enable me to leave my drink at the table while I collected possessions from my locker. When I approached the waitress / receptionsit and asked if I could move my table, I was rudely told “I’m doing something” and asked to wait. I then waited (standing) for a good ten minutes while she finished what she was doing (which appears to be some task on a computer) only to the be told that I could sit myself anywhere.
It was the tone of voice, obvious disregard for my patronage and hostility that I found very offensive.
Hoping that this experience was a once off, I returned to the restaurant later in the afternoon (this time to an empty restaurant), only to be snubbed a second time. After waiting several minutes while the waitress completely ignored me, I then chose to seat myself. After sitting at the table for some time with no service, I then walked up to one (the more senior of waitresses) located at the bar, I had to call out to her 3 times before she bothered to look up, and was then very rudely told that she was in the middle of something. Meanwhile three other waitresses were standing there drying wine glasses.
When the waitress finally came by the table, I ordered the tiramisu only to be told very rudely that “this is a restaurant. We can’t just place an order for a tiramisu”. This was an unacceptable response and left me feeling humiliated and frustrated.
I then told her that the way she treated me today has just ruined my entire experience there. She then grabbed the menu and my glass and stormed off.
Offended and uncertain if I was actually going to be served, I told her not to bother and walked off. I had intended to spend a whole day there but left right after that. I can confidently say that having seen the way I was treated versus the way a Caucasian at the same restaurant was treated, this was purely racism at it’s finest.
I also paid $110 per person for what should have been $75 for 2.
I hope swift action will be taken to improve the situation and address this incident, ensuring all staff members are trained to provide the best possible customer service. I sincerely hope that every effort to ensure that it doesn't happen again.

I have to give one star as I sincerely hope that management do something about a certain rude waitress, ‘Jo’. It’s a shame that this individual has left a stain on my experience at Alba which was otherwise a wonderful experience. From the person at the front desk to the helpful staff in the change room..
My recent visit was girls day with my bestie from out of town and we were made to feel unwelcome and most uncomfortable by Jo the waitress. We asked for a table for two and upon sitting I mentioned we are having the package..The waitress barks aggressively out of nowhere ‘Well you could have told me!’ storms off and returns slamming menus on our table. My friend and I looked at each other like, ‘who is this crazy’..it was so uncomfortable. Fortunately we managed to get another waitress for our table who was lovely.
If you’re wanting to dine at this restaurant wanting to treat yourself and loved ones to a luxurious upmarket experience, think twice before spending your hard earned money here. People go to Alba to treat themselves, not to be treated poorly by waitresses with a attitude problem, who let down the entire Alba team with their unprofessional actions.

As regular visitors to a nearby Hot Springs we thought we would give Alba a try.
Driving into the car park you are confronted with a large concrete building certainly not in keeping with the area. Admittedly this is a relatively new complex but even with tree growth it will be a concrete looking place.
The pools themselves were nice though we noticed not much variation in style and temperature.
Then we visited the cafe, we’ll take out a bank loan, so expensive. Reading the menu you really wondered who they are catering for, expensive and over the top items. A small bowl of chips with lime salt and chilli may $16 , a fish sandwich ( it was cooked either fried or crumbed can’t quite remember) $44.
On the positive the robes were nice and soft.
We won’t be returning better value as vibe elsewhere.

When you arrive at the place there is a big car park and a very big concrete building. Massive reception and reception area all has a very cold feeling. Staff are friendly. Change rooms have big area for lockers although my locker was situated outside this area (weird) and my locker was numbered 644, there were 9 showers and 5 toilets to cover all these lockers, hence I waited for ages with the queue of 5 people to have a shower. When you walk outside it is all very nice but soulless. Busy day when I was there and every pool was crowded and lots of talking and they even allow drinking in the pools!! No signs telling you temperature of pool etc. Needless to say we only stayed for 2 hours compared to peninsula hot springs where we stayed for over 4 hours.

Hello Jane
We are disappointed to have not met your expectations on your recent visit. Providing exceptional experiences for our guests is what we aim to deliver. The Terrace pools, The Clouds and The Salts on the rooftop are private pools and an option for guests wanting to bathe alone or with small group of friends or family on peak days. We use 100% geothermal water, which is naturally heated to between 37oC and 43oC in underground aquifers 550 meters below the surface. We are working to improve the signage so guests can better navigate the pools and find the ones that best suit them. Drinks are allowed around the springs but are not allowed in the springs. Your feedback is important to us as we improve the guest experience in busy periods.
With gratitude,
Craig Dodd, General Manager

Unfortunately Alba disappointed on many levels. We had a voucher to use, access to the spa pools and lunch at the restaurant. The place looks very modern but once through the doors I found the atmosphere too clinical and way too much concrete. It was an extremely hot day and insufficient shade. Unsure as to how this passed health and safety aspects. No depth indicators on pools or no temperature signs on each pool it was only when you stepped in you had to judge the temperature of the water. I found the Hydro pool dirty with quite a lot of scum floating on the top of the water.
We had a lunch booking for 12.30 including a 2 course meal and glass of wine. Ordered our glass of wine while looking at the menu, noticed guests meals coming out (who had come in after our seating time). We asked the waiter if we could order. We only ordered entrees and sides. A waiter came to our table at 1.30pm to ask if we enjoyed our entrees which we hadn't received. Proceeded to let them know we hadn't received our food as yet. At 2pm our food arrived after 2 more attempts to ask where our food was and how long it will be. I will not be returning or recommending Alba to anyone.

Very disappointed, felt like I was in a concrete jungle none of the pools have temperature signs, kids jumping in and out running around. Got bored in the pool, went to grab a drink and snack cafe doesn’t serve food between 11.30am and 12 they are changing to lunch menu. Then went in for a massage, got smothered in oil wouldn’t have even known I had a massage. Won’t go back, overpriced and very bland.

Warm Water Obscure Surrounds and Poor Service in Restaurant
Visited yesterday for the first and last time as a local resident. I have traveled many times to Japan have my own spa and was so disappointed with the the "so called" thermal springs.
In Japan and even across the road at Peninsula Hot Springs the water temperature will be around 38 to 40 degrees celsius, whilst I did not have my thermometer with me I found myself shifting from one look alike concrete pool to another searching for some relaxing hot water and never found it.
Both the steam room and the dry sauna were running at relatively low risk temperatures and like the thermal springs were also lackluster and disappointing.
The Restaurant experience was worse, after being seated by one of the apathetic staff members manning the entrance door I sat in a near empty restaurant and was completely ignored by the wait staff who were serving no other customers and were occupied with non specific general duties. I was an embarrassing moment, I can't remember the last time I walked out of a restaurant. The Alba reception staff were very friendly and professional.
The building architecture is predominantly minimalist concrete, bold and imposing lacking in soul and warmth and basically ignores the native beauty of the Fingal location with vast areas of concrete and asphalt.

Please tell me what is the booking capacity per session for the thermal springs? And does entry allow you to stay for a specific amount of time or is it all day access? I'd like to avoid attending any place that is like the Peninsula Hot Springs where it feels like an overcrowded water park
