An interesting place to visit but not fascinating. Requires quite a lot of walking so bring a picnic and take a break. The picnic area is a great place for birdwatching.

As part of our Southern Costa Rica Birding Tour, we stayed in Las Cruces Biological Station. This garden was adjacent to the lodging. Beautiful tropical plants, orchids blooming, and a pollinator garden that attracted the hummingbirds.

Many trails that enable the viewing of interesting plants, trees, and jungle. If you are interested in these matters, then the botanical garden is a 'must see' property.

Wilson's is in San Vito and Lankaster in Cartago... there is one road south that will take you there... just drove it a few weeks ago. Probably looking at 5 to 6 hours.
