Was there at the end of the summer so the water flow was low but it is a beautiful area, nice hike, and the biggest problem in the summer is parking. Get there early.

Enjoyed the hike, but still would recommend Van Sickly over this one. This trail was a bit more challenging due to all the rock steps going up, but once you got to the viewing areas, Emerald Bay was remarkable. We went on a Saturday and...More

A fairly easy trail through large sugar pines to an overlook for the falls. A very pleasant walk in the woods!

Due to heart issues the Tahoe area elevation proved to be a challenge for my cardio capacity, so we focused on easy to moderate hikes of relatively short distances. This turned out to be a decent trail. My wife was fine but I found it...More

Wrong time to go to the waterfall. It was more like a stream. The hike was not bad, but really not worth the time. I believe it’s better to go in like April.

I showed up early in the morning about 6:30 a.m. to capture the magnificent sunrise and to assure free parking. If you don't show up early you will have a hard time finding parking or no parking at all. If you have never been to...More

We went to both the lower falls and the higher falls. Both were beautiful and clean. The trail is both kid and dog friendly but make sure you take water for the hike.
