Very very disappointed. Three of us arrived at middday and left an hour later, hungry. We couldn’t order food because staff were stressed and decidedly unfriendly because they were focused on a couple of tourist buses. Don’t bother.

Horrible place to go. Staff are very rude and food is over priced and nothing special!

I have visited the Brewery on many occasions always enjoying
Unfortunately this was not the case last Sunday , staff pre occupied ??
Finally found someone to show us to our seat
Asked about the electronic code staff couldn’t answer as they didn’t know how to use it either, during the food ordering had the hide to ask for a tip ( which I felt should have been given to me as I did the order ,collected the food ,set the table after collecting the crockery and cutlery)no service in sight.
Lucky the Pizza wasn’t too bad ($28 then charged extra for using a card)
Quiet embarrassing as I pick the venue for my friends get together
Won’t be back in a hurry

My friend and I stopped at the brewery on our way to Nelson Bay, just for a drink and a break. I want to say that the entertainment was fabulous and kept me there much longer than we had intended.

Great atmosphere. Food is always consistently good. Waited less than 15 mins. Lucky we booked because it filled up fast. Staff were friendly but ordering is through QR code now.

The food is not what it used to be, the prices have gone though the roof for food and Drinks and to make it worse the plate sizes have shrunk, however the meal quality has remained the same from a few months ago.
The wait time for food was about 15 mins which is pretty good, and food itself was good but nothing spectacular considering the price.
On a more positive note there are a wide selection of beers and the atmosphere is pretty good, with great open spaces its a perfect stop for a sunny day.
Its just a shame that the prices went so high otherwise I would be a regular there including in the off peak seasons.

This was our second time visiting Murrays after last visiting in 2014. Things have changed a lot with it being more commercialnow but we liked it before and loved it this time. We visited on two consecutive days since it was so good. Live music, great beer and cider and a great atmosphere. Food waiting times were a little long but not bad considering the place was packed and we visited on a Saturday and Sunday. We'd be regulars if we lived nearby!

Terrible experience! Ordered over $250 Of food - arrived cold and tasted terrible. Asked to speak with the manager who refused to let us sit inside due to the rain. She ignored us, and wouldn’t come back a speak with us. DO NOT Waste your time / money here.

An amazing location and delicious food. Murray’s bbq smoked brisket is absolutely delicious, there beers and the live music that Sunday was great. Definitely came back.

Our family (4 adults, 1 child) were assigned to the Restaurant William after an attempted booking for the deck (Bar & Kitchen) via the OpenTable medium provided totally inaccurate information about table availability for lunch last Wednesday 28th December.
I had been assured vegetarian meals were available (menus aren't available on line) however when we checked the menu there was only one vegetarioan option, the Ricotta Gnocchi. The waiter told us they were good-sized meals, so it was decided to share 2 meals beween the 3 vegetarians.
When they were served, the meals were entree-sized at best ... no more than say a coffee cup full of ingredients in total, including no more than 3-4 pieces of gnocchi on either dish, despite the $32 price tag!
I had told my son of the great beers at Murrays, but when we ordered Angry Man it was served in 330ml bottles (at $10 each) rather than the classic pints I was used to in the alfresco area (which OneTable said was booked out, when it was nowhere-near full at any time during our stay).!
Fortunately my flattened chicken was a good size, so I was able to share with my part-time vegetarian wife to provide a morsel of lunch for her.
We were served sparkling water very promptly (at $7/bottle) but waited 25 minutes for our other drinks to arrive, and a further 10 minutes for a cocktail, before we could have our family reunion toast together!
I am used to current day high charges for drinks in restaurants, but have never before been required to pay $10 for a stubby of beer, or $16 for a glass of wine.
Neither do I think $95 is a reasonable price for a steak, even though it was 600g!
To top it off, the aircon barely catered for the day, and although being inside, flies continually had to be plucked from our wine and beer glasses!
The only redeeming feature was the staff. They were lovely!
Could never recommend Restaurant Willam to anyone!
