We booked this tour independently before our cruise and picked the Komodo Island and pink beach tour.We were met from our tender on Komodo Island by the excellent tour rep who introduced himself,our guide and explained the itinerary.We walked around the track and saw four dragons at the waterhole ,a boar and some deer.
On the boat we had bottles of water and a superb lunch, then went snorkelling on pink beach. Top Komodo tours are a totally professional company,they supplied all details promptly upon booking and followed this up with a great tour and at the end of it gave us all a gift of a free T shirt I would definately recommend this tour which was a lot cheaper price than the cruise company were charging.

We were truly impressed by Top Komodo: a great day's excursion on the island to see the dragons (no disappointment there), followed by a nice boat ride to the gorgeous sandy Pink Beach. Our guides were helpful and courteous and the whole experience was great value for money. We were especially impressed by the unexpectedly lavish buffet lunch supplied on the return boat trip as well as the T-shirts we were given (in correct sizes: we were part of a group of 14 ) as souvenirs. Booking via email was easy and conducted in a highly professional manner. Great.

Back in December 2019 we started to plan our trip to Komodo Island, and we had a lot of questions about the boat and the arrangement, and Yosefina was so kind and serviceminded. Quick response to our mails every time. We made the down payment via PayPal.
Sadly we had to cancel our tour because of Covid-19. Yosefina was very understanding, and the down payment was refunded a few days later (via PayPal). Yosefina asked us to confirm that we got our money back, just to be sure that everything was ok.
We will not hesitate to book at Top Komodo Tours when we are able to travel again.

I booked this tour for myself and my wife independently for an Oceania cruise. Top Komodo Tours was a pleasure to work with.
They supplied an official confirmation letter which I gave to the Ship Tender operators which meant we were able to catch the tenders to Komodo Island ( if you don't have a tour booked on Komodo Island - independently or through the cruise ship - then you are not permitted to go to the Island).
The Top Komodo guides were excellent. They met us as soon as we landed on Komodo Island . We were put in a group of about 15 other people who had also booked independently. At this point you have to pay for the tour in cash (they accepted US dollar, AUS dollars and Euros) and took us on a one and half hour walk to see the Dragons. We saw about 7-8 Dragons. Truly a great experience. We were warned, beforehand, however, that seeing Dragons is not guaranteed.
Next was a some shopping with local crafts then to the boat to Pink Beach. The boat was large and had plenty of seating. But I must say that getting in and out of boat was a challenge given the height of the piers.
A special treat was the lunch provided on the boat ride to the beach – fresh fruit, grilled fish, rice, calamari and salads.
Pink Beach was wonderful. Snorkeling equipment was provided by Top Komodo Tours so we spent a few hours snorkeling. While the beach is beautiful, the snorkeling was a little disappointing – not much to see in the water

From start to finish communication with Yosefina was excellent. We visited the Island in a small group from a cruise ship. Our guide, And I, was waiting for us as we got off the tender from the ship. The guided tour to see the dragons was informative and just the right pace for our group. We were allowed to get closer to the dragons then I expected with the rangers with their forked sticks keeping a watchful eye. We saw plenty of dragons and even a baby one wandering around near the cafe.
Pink beach was beautiful. We spent most of our time there swimmi g in the warm water. We bought a wooded carved dragon from one of the stalls ad a souvenir. Lunch on the boat was included in the very reasonably priced trip and we were all given a t shirt and postcards too.

Top Komodo Tours organized a 10 day round trip on Flores and Komodo for us (a Dutch family with 2 kids) in July 2022. It has been an amazing experience. Everything was organized so well and we stayed at some amazing accommodations. The excursions on both Flores as well as the 2 day boat trip to Komodo were excellent. Andy our guide was a great travel companion and we have learned so much about the island, its culture and people thanks to his knowledge and experience. Our driver Oskar made us feel very safe and comfortable during long hours of driving on the island. Yosefina provided excellent support from the office.
Don't hesitate to book with this company, they are professional and will give you an unforgettable experience of Flores!

We wanted to have a private tour of Komodo National Park for our honeymoon and after lots of research and reading of Trip Advisor reviews, I found Top Komodo Tours. From planning the trip at the start, through to being dropped off at Labuan Bajo airport, Top Komodo Tours delivered an enjoyable and professional service.
Yosefina was very helpful with planning the trip and providing many boat options. She was quick to respond to emails and patient with all my questions.
Our tour guide, Venan, was friendly, knowledgeable, spoke great English and made us feel very comfortable. He managed to find manta rays whilst many boats could not and knew the best spots to capture iconic photos of Komodo National Park. He also has great humour! Thanks for a great tour, Venan!

Our family spent an amazing 3 days and 2 nights onboard our private boat, “Indonesia Community,” touring around Komodo National Park. Yosefina was extremely helpful in planning the trip, and was very responsive and patient with our many questions. Our guide, Venan, was easygoing, knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Venan knew the best places for snorkeling (he found a manta ray within 5 minutes of us arriving in the area, while other groups didn’t see one at all!) and generally looked after us very well. The boat’s captain and crew were also friendly and clearly very experienced. Food onboard was all traditional Indonesian fare and was delicious: fresh fish, sate, rice, tasty veggies, lots of fresh fruit, and even pancakes! Whenever we got back from an excursion, there would be fresh juice and a snack, such as fried bananas, waiting for us. The itinerary was well planned, so we had time to snorkel and visit the various islands, but still time to just relax and enjoy being out on the water. All in all, this was the highlight of our trip! We would absolutely recommend Top Komodo Tours, and specifically Venan and the crew of the “Indonesia Community.” Terima kasih!

It was impossible to find a tour covering what our little group wanted to see during our two days stay. Yosefina from Top Komodo Tours made it possible! She kept us posted on the current situation at Komodo and Padar were closed just until three days before our arrival. The whole tour went very smoothly. The crew on our ship was on top of things and always friendly. The food was very tasty and even one of our very picky co-traveler liked it. Afri, our tour guide, was a very knowledgeable group-leader, who often knew more than the rangers, and therefore could add information. He had a great sende of humor and was very caring making sure we all had a good time and felt safe during the hikes.
I am happy I chose Too Komodo Tours when I organized our trip.

This trip is amazing. An absolute must when travelling Indonesia.
The experiences were incredible, our boat (Alfathran) was great, the food on the boat was fantastic.
Our guide was very accommodating, but ran a tight schedule. But that’s important on a group tour and it made sure we got to most locations before anyone else. Also essential!
Only main negative was our room (and others) smelled badly of damp. Like unhealthily badly. Hopefully the owners can do something about it. We weren’t expecting luxurious accommodation so everything else about the the room was fine, just the smell.
We were aware that you can (probably) pick up cheaper rates by speaking to the many tour shops in Labuan Bajo, and that seems to be the case. But if you’re keen to have something locked in to get excited about, this should be the one for you. We also had to change our initial plans because we didn’t realise the open trips only left on Fridays. This might be different in the high season though.
One final thing to note is that our guide wasn’t necessarily as “amazing” than some of the others in these reviews. Still decent and far better than some of the others we’ve had elsewhere. Just something to keep in mind that you might not get a killer guide every time.

Did anyone have any issues with paying? We are planning to PayPal our deposit (as requested by the company) and hopefully can give the rest electronically as well as that would be more convenient. Any experiences with payment would help us decide on a company/plan for trip.
Secondly, does this company have its own fleet of boats or is it more of a middleman to connect you to local boat owners/tours?

We paid in cash. At the last minute, the charge went up $5 US, but then we received "free" T shirts. Still a bargain.
I'm sure the company arranges for locals to take us--especially since the luncheon was superb and most have come from a nearby island!
