A long time wish, visiting Lake Eyre by plane, came to fruition this year. And what a great trip it was. Perfectly organised by Graham and Deb and totally enjoyable.
For 2 days we became part of a 'big' family, including the 2 pilots and the 2 air hostesses. We loved the stop at Birdsville, experiencing the pub (of course), but most of all that deep blue sky, which you never see in the city.
Although Lake Eyre was interesting to see from the air (you get more of a perspective of the size of the lake, this time only part of it was covered by water), the biggest surprise was the view over the channel country and the palette of colours of the different landscapes. How beautiful is this country. I can now understand how artists get inspired here.
I totally recommend this trip. Bring a notepad, because Graham will mention so many interesting places to visit, his knowledge of the area is vast and his enthusiasm is infectious.

A wonderful few days. The highlights of the two days are too many to mention. But the standouts were the excellent organisation where everything required happened like clockwork (thanks Debbie) and, without doubt, the outstanding historical and geographical narration provide by Graham.
Our expectations were high - and they were well and truly exceeded.

We had a fabulous time flying over Lake Eyre and the surrounding countryside. Graham's knowledge is extensive and very interesting while Deb had everything perfectly organised to create a memorable trip. Lake Eyre was great to see but the scenery of the Channel country and Wilpena Pound was also outstanding, containing a wide palette of colours.

The flight disappointing flew at 20,000 ft to high to see pelicans. Those seated right side had the sun and glare most sites were on the left. Photos were impossible with the glare plus the propellers. The plane did a circle over Lake Eyre to the left so still couldn't see.
Quite a few who also had seating on the right complained to me so I mentioned it to Graham as we were going to have the sunny side on return flight and could we change ,his reply was can't do that but did agree to ask the pilot to do figure 8's over Wilpena Pound and Marlee man. Return flight more interesting.
Graham's commentary, motel and meals excellent.

I know this is a bit late but I just wanted to say that we thought the 2 day trip to Lake Eyre/Port Augusta was absolutely amazing. It really did exceed our expectations by a mile and found that the photos we took could not do it justice – you needed to experience it to totally understand. It’s been on my bucket list for years and I’m so grateful that we were lucky enough to have the amazing experience of two wonderful guides – Graham’s knowledge was first class and actually took it to another level. Thank you both so much – everything was so well organised and it was a first class experience – will be recommending it to all my friends. Even those who had been there before had never heard of the Maree Man – so well done. The really pleasant surprise for me personally was the addition of the Flinders Ranges and in particular the Wilpena Pound. As wasn’t in our plans I was absolutely stoked.

A flight over Lake Eyre was on my husband’s bucket list. He has Parkinson’s disease and finds travel difficult because of his mobility limitations. This trip was perfect. Brisbane to Brisbane with touch downs in Birdsville, over night in Port Augusta and touch down for lunch in Charleville on the way back. Excellent service - amazing sights over the Channel Country, Cooper Creek, Lake Eyre North and South, Flinders Ranges, Wilpena Pound and Maree Man. Graham is the most attentive and knowledgeable guide we have ever experienced and we have travelled a lot worldwide. This special weekend was an Amazing trip organised and hosted by a True Blue Aussie couple who are owner/operators who absolutely love what they do and treat customers like royalty.

This was the treat I chose to celebrate my 85th Birthday, and WHAT A TREAT!
It was enjoyable and memorable from start to finish. The orginisation was smooth and seamless. The aircraft was smooth and comfortable and the meals and accom were "top shelf" I've lived and worked for years in far Western Qld,but have never met a man with greater knowledge and experience in the places and things that matter. Graham's continuous commentary and ready answer to questions at all times made the weekend a valuable time of enjoyment and education.

What an experience we had in the 2 day Lake Eyre trip. We live in an awesome country. Graham is an extra special person, with the knowledge he shared with us all during the whole 2 days was just amazing. Thankyou Graham for sharing your special gift of this with us. Thankyou Deb for all of the organizing you do, as everything was like clockwork. We did miss Graham on the Charleville-Brisbane section - we did not know where we were!!!! only guessed the towns below:) take care

2 Day trip with stops at Birdsville, overnight in Adelaide, stopping at Charleville on the way back to Brisbane. The commentary by Graham was very well informed and covered all of the landmarks and lots else. The flight crew and logistics man were very accommodating. Catering on the flight was terrific. Overnight hotel in Adelaide was very comfortable, and the meals presented well.
Congratulations to Graham and Deb for their organization and planning. A big thank you to all of the flight crew.
Very informative and exciting to see the centre of Australia with lots of water, from an aerial perspective.
