- JulzmusicMelbourne, Australia64 contributionsFun farm/wildlife experience for all agesWe had a great day as a couple at The Big Goose. We don’t have kids, though definitely see the appeal for that age (given the playground & dig opportunities) - i’d also would highly recommend it for all ages. My partner and I had fun feeding geese, goats, llamas and a keen ostrich! We watched a couple of the shows and also had a decent round of mini golf! There is a lot to do there and the animals all appear well cared for, on that, would recommend!Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 May 2024
- Tui MMelbourne, Australia3 contributionsA great day outA truly memorable day out with the grand babies and our daughter! It was a lovely experience from the very start to days end - with the reptile show being an absolute standout of the day. The wit/humour was also very much appreciated and we will definitely be back!Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 21 June 2024
- Jessie G13 contributionsSo many very friendly animals to pat and feedWe took a 3 1/2 year old and a 21 month old and we all loved it. So many different and friendly animals to pat, feed and observe - baby goats, deer, kangaroos, calves, and many more. We enjoyed seeing the wombats being fed and a reptile show. There is also a sheep dog display that I believe is very good, but it rained! Lovely friendly staff. All animals looked very well looked after. There is also a very good play area for children. It’s only about 20 minutes or less from Dromana on the Mornington peninsula. I very highly recommend it.Visited October 2024Travelled with familyWritten 6 October 2024

If you love animals and tactile experiences, Big Goose is the place for you. I went by myself not having kids (having heard about it and been really curious about it) but it is a VERY popular attraction for families, especially those with young children. Most of the kids seemed to be under the age of 6 although there were a few older ones.
It’s big enough that there’s plenty to see and do but small enough that it’s not overwhelming for young children. I covered it in just over 2 hours, including a bit of mini golf; if you want to see the shows or allow for free play or eating, probably allow 3-4 hours.
As my review titles suggests, there’s an abundance of livestock. Naturally geese were the main ones but apart from geese, alpacas and goats, I saw turkeys, chickens, peafowl, sheep, cows, camels and ostriches. There was also a wildlife park native Australian fauna. I was in awe at all of these creatures’ insatiable appetites and the way holding out a food bag (available for purchase) would inspire many poses on their hind legs to cadge feeds out of visitors.
Feeding and patting the animals was by far my favourite activity. I also enjoyed taking a tractor ride and both the tire maze and the maze of flora.
The cafeteia staff were very friendly and professional, too, which added to the positive experience.
Only reason for the 4 (not 5 star) rating: I was unimpressed with the toilets. They don’t look like they get cleaned often and the locks are bolts almost at the very top of the toilet. I’m over 6 ft tall but could imagine it being awkward for shorter visitors; additionally, the locks are very stiff and as someone who gets claustrophobic (I’d hate to be a parent with a little child it was a very tight squeeze) I felt a bit panicky.
Otherwise, I really enjoyed my day at The Big Goose and hope to return again.

We've visited every petting farm on the Peninsula with our one year old, and The Big Goose is by far our favourite. We love being able to feed the animals, the farm is very tidy and well-kept, and the café is reasonably priced. There's also plenty of picnic spots and a fabulous splash park for the warmer days. We've decided to buy an annual pass as it'll be a great local place to take our daughter during autumn/winter to get out of the house and stretch her legs.

With an annual pass to The Big Goose we love to go with friends for a few hours or a full day. Sometimes the kids are simply happy to bounce around the giant inflatable pillow for hours while we sit on the picnic tables down the side with the essential snacks or they immerse themselves in the undercover playground...while we sit on the nearby picnic tables with the essential snacks. Throw the kids on a scheduled tractor ride around the farm, which they love, and give yourself another 10 or 15 mins of interruption free catch up time! Of course you also have the farm animals and Australian fauna, pony rides and reptile shows to get you up and exploring, but let's face it, sometimes it's nice to sit and do nothing other than catch up with a friend and eat snacks on the sideline!

We took the kids to something a bit different. We had never been here before. We decided to go during the week to beat the crowds. So much better than going on the weekends that's for sure. We were able to see the park at our own pace without all hustle and bustle.
You must pre book on line as you can't buy tickets at the door during this time due to covid.
The kids had a fantastic day. Highlight was the massive play ground area.

What a fabulous place to visit. Amazing play equipment for younger and older children plus tractor rides, baby animals for the kiddies to hold and feed, snake show, feeding the many different animals, horse rides, mini golf, watching the sheep dogs round up the sheep. So many different activities, yet a really relaxed atmosphere to leisurely stroll around. My grandkiddies love coming here so much that I took out a yearly membership. The staff are so friendly and engaging. Looking forward to the food rotunda to open, although the food from the food van is tasty.

We just held our sons 5th birthday party at the Big Goose in the Barn Party room, we could not have been more impressed with the attention, support and genuine effort by all of the staff especially Justin to make our event truly fabulous! We booked the 10am slot & were able to enter with plenty of time before hand to decorate the room and set up. So great to be able to add all of our own party theme. The kitchen was equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge & sink enabling us to cook & refrigerate our party food. The children were treated to a wide range of scheduled activities and had such a wonderful time. Great value for money, well done Big Goose😊

Our children took us out to Big Goose to celebrate our grandson's third birthday. We also took my mother making it an outing for four generations of the family. It is located around 15-20 minutes past Frankston so not far out of the way and very easy to get to.
It is a combination of farm, adventure playground, petting zoo and educational shows. Throw in tractor and pony rides and it made an entertaining day for us all.
Our 1 and 3yo grand kids loved being able to go into the pens and feed the rabbits and guinea pigs, chickens and other baby animals. Then to run around the adventure playground. There was a show demonstrating sheep round ups and one with reptiles. In between you could hand feed the goats, sheep and lots of other farm animals with a few exotics like Ostriches mixed in.
My mother is in a wheelchair and while the paths were a bit bumpy she had a great time interacting with both the great grandchildren and the animals. There is a cafe on site or picnic areas. The staff were all really helpful and friendly and it gave a feeling that they were all family working together to put it together.
At around $55 for a family ticket it was great value for 2 or 3 hours entertainment. It caters for younger children but good for the whole family.

Went to the Big Goose on Sunday 4 June for our grandson's 2nd birthday. Our group was 7 children under 8 plus 5 sets of parents.
We all had an enjoyable afternoon. Relaxing for parents and so many options and joy for the kids. Plenty of activities to burn off energy as well as more passive hands on experiences.
A good place for us grand parents to take the kids when they are having holidays with us.
By the way, the staff were excellent - welcoming, happy and very keen to ensure this is a very good experience.

Do I need to pre-book/purchase tickets? I would prefer to buy onsite as it is more flexible in that case. any advice?
Written 14 October 2019
As mentioned by the person above, you can buy tickets at the entrance, however because we were a large family group,we bought our tickets online beforehand.
