Attended a wedding here recently, lovely place dating back to 13th century I believe. As you would expect with old churches had some beautiful features. I love sitting in these places & try to imagine the stories it could tell. Worth a visit.

Fabulous old church from the 1600's. Interesting iron gravestones inside dating back to when ironworks were present in the area. Unusual terraced graveyard at the rear!

I was visiting the Cat Inn and arrived early. What a treat it was for me to enter this church for quiet reflection. It has been well appointed with light sensors which gave an immediate warm welcome. The layout of the comfortable chairs was inspiring....More

The extensive churchyard is on several levels down the hillside behind the church, and was full of wild flowers...More

Working in the area, I couldn't resist stopping to photograph this beautiful church. I had been pre warned that the views were outstanding, and they indeed are. Its mumble beginnings began in around 1090 as a small Norman dwelling, but as the years went by,...More

Typical small village church. Peaceful. Very large graveyard on the side of a hill. Lots of places to sit, relax and admire the view.

This is a beautiful church in a pleasant village with two good pubs nearby. The church is peaceful and merits a slow visit. But you should go even if you are not particularly religious. Wander through the churchyard and you will come to one of...More

So peaceful and restful on a sunny Good Friday, sitting in the tiered church garden which seems to extend for ever!

I have never seen a graveyard like this one! It is built as a terrace over six levels. From the upper levels you get expansive views of the South Downs and the graveyard has many types of trees and flowers as part of it. Very...More
