My family and I have been coming to Kawau since I was about 5 years old. The Mansion House and gardens are absolutely beautiful. I recommend taking a walk to the copper mine or Ladies Bay.

Cafe in the summer, peacocks and natural wild life roaming the grounds. A spectacular bay to visit. Highly recommend going through Mansion House which I was lived in by New Zealand's first Governer General - Sir GEorge Gray.
