Myself, one of my children (nearly 5 ) and my parents visted the farm on Friday 17th July an extremly cold and windy day, this I think is personally my 6th visit and everytime I come its like a new place, we love it even with the wind the obstcale course is great to warm you up and the peddal karts which are new since the last time I came (can we get a bigger one the kids had an unfair advantage and I lost the race lol) and the bouncy horse are hilarious fun for young and old. The animals are very well looked after and very loved. The baby lambs were so cute. The helpers were all enthusiastic and very informative. I can't recommend this place enough. I could go on and on about all the positives of this family run farm but I say if you have a free morning go and see for yourself you will not regret it.

Had such a fun and educational day! We took the beekeeper for a morning tour, which was so informative and exciting. We both learnt a lot and had a lot of hands on fun, would recommend it for anyone young and old (big kids and little kids)
The farm itself is very educational and inspiring - it is great to see such innovation and the surrounds are totally beautiful.
There is a lot to see and do, the garden (where you can learn about the purposes of different plants) was very interesting
There are alot of things for kids like the pony rides and the petting zoo for the animals, but for everyone (kids or not) it is a great day to spend out
The herbal teas and the lovely honeys also are amazing and make great gifts!

We have been having so much fun taking people out to the hives for the Beekeeper for a Morning. So glad you enjoyed! And thanks for your kindness in writing a review. Now...back to honey spinning!

We have been coming to Honeycomb Valley several times a year for nearly seven years. We come back because we'd rather be here than anywhere else. Honeycomb Valley is perfect for my daughter who is passionate about animals, she enjoys catching up with old friends Nick the Calf (who thinks he's a sheep),Gary the Goat, Hollywood and Soda the horse and pony, and the gorgeous alpacas. Yesterday she discovered, during the evening animal feeding and checking, a calf that had been corm only hours earlier. Within a few hours if arriving here she has completely forgotten about homework and iPads. For me, with a busy and often pressured life in Sydney, being here makes me think more clearly and breath more deeply. While my daughter is free-ranging with the animals and helping out with farm chores, I am able to properly relax. There is a reason why guests keep coming back here every year, its because it is a very, very special place.

the entry was a bit pricey. the herbal teas made there are available for purchase. honey is available and soaps etc. we liked those. the family is doing a great job by educating people and kids about farming. you can support the family by going there and you can have a farmstay too. we liked it but thought was pricey but would of regretted if we didn't go. if you come from the country you might not experience much new. but to everyone's personal preference.

Hi there, thanks for stopping in and reviewing us! Glad you enjoyed our offering but sorry you found it a bit pricey. We'd actually like to be able to offer free entry but unfortunately there are lots of costs that go into running a place like this & being able to open it to the public (but Dick Smith..if you're reading this - how about you shout everyone by making this place a sustainable living education centre! ). I suppose we based our pricing so it would be about the same as a movie ticket ($10 child, $12.50 conc, $15 adult). Most people tend to spend a good couple of hours here, but the price also includes a honey tasting and an organic herbal tea or rosella cordial (probably worth about $4 at a cafe...but here you can see where it was actually grown as well) + things you're unlikely to see on most farms (like the biggest solar oven in Australia). Anyway, we really do appreciate your support & for taking the time to review us, so thanks for coming and come again - we're always up to new things here. All the best, Anna & Andrew & family

We stayed in a cabin overlooking the farm with sheep, day old lambs, chooks, fluffy cows, alpacas and horses. Kids felt safe and comfortable. .. they loved horse rides, egg collecting, herding the animals, feeding times, tractor rides, nighttime adventure, paddleboat, tyre swing, obstacle course, bbqs, bonfire with marshmallows. Friendly and kind staff who welcomed us all. Animals treated ethically and kindly, which was lovely.
Kids loved being farm hands & my daughter didn't want to leave. 8y old was amazed by everything and never bored.
Cabin was clean and comfy, with a wood fire with plenty of wood. Kitchen basic but ample to cook meals.
Beautiful clear skies, full moon and plenty of stars. Cheeky roosters woke us at sunrise. We even saw green eggs from some exotic chickens.
Bring torches for the night feeding, as it gets dark early in winter. Also gum boots are essential.

Myself and my two children (ages 7 and almost 3) visited Honeycomb Farm on the public holiday last Monday and enjoyed every minute of our visit. We were greeted by smiling faces when two English WWOOFers, Jenny and partner welcomed us to the farm. The recycled shipping container has become the farm shop, full of wonderful products such as aromatic vanilla honey, rosella jam, honey orange seeded mustard and home made gingerbread bees to name but a few. My children were very excited when Jenny asked them would they like to be taken on a special tour where they had to find a list of items following a map. They had great fun and we all learnt so much, especially having the opportunity to taste and smell and pick lots of different herbs, fruits and edible flowers. My son will have much to talk about tomorrow for show and tell at school! We all enjoyed feeding and patting the gorgeous animals after our garden tour. We then tasted a lots of delicious types of honey and enjoyed rosella drinks, cordial for the children and tea for me. The children were rewarded with a yummy gingerbread bee for their successful treasure hunt. Our only dissappointment was that Dad had to work that day, so we will have to come back again with him for a visit, that's for sure!

Hi Nicola, thanks for your review! We love that you enjoyed your time with Jenny, she is an amazing wwoofer (willing worker on organic farm). Jenny and Gary have gone back to the UK now (whaaaa!) but not before they trained up a fab new bunch of volunteers, we're so lucky to have all these great people come and live and work at the farm & get involved with the animals, plants, bees, balms & visitors. Some of our new wwoofers are working at putting together a low level oBEEstacle course for the kids to do while their here (while parents enjoy the tastings & tours) so will hopefully be ready for the next holidays as another fun activity for the young ones. Thanks for the review, and hope to welcome you back again some time!
All the best from our family, bugs, menagerie and wwoof team. :)

we had a top time donning our bee suits and meeting and learning all about the bees - it was more fun than I had expected and I had been really looking forward to it. After the bee keeping experience we had a cuppa and tasted a whole range of honeys and went for a tour around the permaculture farm left us feeling all warm and fuzzy by the end of the visit.

What an awesome place for kids to learn about organic farming and get to touch the animals, collect eggs, collect verges, try organic honey. We had a great time with 2 families. Kids loved the experience. Very hands-on.

Our boys aged 8 and 10 had a terrific adventure during our 3 night stay at Honeycomb Valley Farm. Highlights were the wide variety of hands-on activities suitable for kids, wide range of friendly farm animals, and the generous amount of time host Andrew and his family devoted to showing our family all about farm life. Our boys loved collecting eggs from the chickens in the morning (and putting them to bed at night), riding Soda (the pony), herding cattle behind a quad bike (and being chased by the friendly cows!), hugging Jasper (the friendly alpaca), watching Nick (the cow who thinks he's a goat), paddle boating on the dam, timing themselves on the obstacle course - even raking up sheep poo! Mum and dad enjoyed seeing the boys engaged with nature and animals, and independently exploring the outdoors (and tasting the wide range of honey products!). Can't recommend it highly enough!
