Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What an unbelievable beach. The beach was so open, uncrowded , had lifeguard support, fairly decent toilets, large changing area and a small cafe.
There isn't an eating place so take your own food or BBQ (which we did).
The waves are a bit choppy but not too bad.
The drive there was great, 12 bucks to get in so don't forget to take some cash.
The parking lot is big, can get filled and then you probably won't be allowed in so go early.

A nice drive south and into the Royal National Park. $12 for a car day pass. Rest rooms at the site, also out door shower for after the beach. Nice little cafe with some good basics.

We were just driving through the park and decided to come down to this beach for a walk. A stunning beach, not many people and sea so inviting. Not much in the way of facilities so depends what you are after - but hopefully the photos show you how lovely it is.

The beach was quite nice and surrounding walk is amazing. However, beware of the b***** old hag in the beach kiosk if you're not white as she is clearly rude and racist

Don't waste your time going here it's completely rubbish. It cost me money just to park my car. There are no shaded areas or facilities like tables for picnics and the public amenities are quite frankly disgusting and smelled of urine and raw sewage. There were some guys cleaning their feet in the hand wash area when I went in there because, as it was explained to me, the public showers don't work there either. No public transport here and nowhere to buy food either. Couldn't give this place a lower rating because the site won't let me.

Another over regulated and boring beach area in NSW. Signs welcome visitors with a dozen activities forbidden including no camping, no overnight stays, no dogs etc etc. The list goes on.. Note that swimming and walking on the beach is allowed however. Cafe serves Nescafé, standard tea and the usual junk food & sweets. No credit cards accepted. Better leave this beach area to be enjoyed by backwards aussies.

Gary Beach was closed when we visited there in June due to huge swells there. Waves were so large and beach was so windy and that makes it more memorable. Proper time to visit could be in summer there.

We walked to Garie Head and enjoyed the view both to the north and south. The beach was closed due to huge swells so we could not swim on the day we visited.

Quiet beach located within the Royal National Park. Plenty of space even in the summer. We went there during summer on a week day afternoon and practically had the whole place to ourselves. There is a toilet with showers located near the carpark. Bring plenty of food and water. Reception might not be great so download your maps if you have trouble finding your way here

So one sees the Corona commercials with the protagonist sitting on a beach having a weak beer. This beach is every bit as beautiful and is surrounded by sandstone cliffs that have been carved by Mother Nature through years of wind and rain. There are calm pools nearby teeming with brim and the visibility is just amazing.

Highly recommend!
