This little town is a must to visit if you have one spare day while in Bosnia. The fortress itself isn't special, but is the best place for sightseeing of this little town. You can enjoy walking through the streets of this town with old,...More

The fortress is essentially just the walls and the grass inside so it is unlikely to take up much of your time. However at a minimal entry fee (about 0.5 Euro or less if I remember right), and offering great views on the town and...More

Very nice environment, I've been here in 2017 in the summer. And if you are visiting Bosnia-Herzegovina and you like culture, nature, great food and you want to relax then Jajce is for sure the place you have to visit. Great lakes, great waterwalls, great...More

The town has been rebuilt after the war in 1991 and you can get brilliant views of the area from the fort.

It is possible to walk around the top of the fortress (inside the walls) and there is what appears to be a dungeon inside an interior building. Other than this there isn't a great deal to see other than the views of the surrounding countryside....More

The fortress itself was ok. The ramparts are still extremely well intact. You do get a great sense of what the place must have been like centuries ago. But the claim to fame of this sight is the 360 grand view from the ramparts of...More

This is a fairly typical Bosnia fortress so it is nothing very special in that regard but it is pretty large and has great views of town and the lovely, green, and heavily forested Jajce area. It has lush green grass inside and extensive walls...More

It's a must for everyone who visits Jajce - but except a few leaflets sold by the guard at entrance who charges the 2 KM ticket too, and a plate with texts in Bosnian and English, there is nothing else. One has to rely on...More
