Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Jajce catacomb is a site previous catacombs where Bosnia kings and their family members bodies were kept. It was also hiding spot for many leader during wars. Now it is a museum that goes two levels down. You can se underground chapel carved to perfection out of stone. Even now with laser tools that masterpiece of skill would be Gard to do. If you can take a guided tour, it would be very beneficial because the history behind this structure is truly amazing.

The Catacombs is a beautiful, historical structures cut into the rock in the fourteenth century. The entrance fee is 2km, worthwhile the visit,,,,,the young man at the gate will take you through and will tell you the history of the "Catacombs", very knowledgeable, and able to answer all your question on the history of Jajce.

The entrance of the catacomb doesn't look attractive, but the underground structure is really amazing, especially when the whole structure, carved out from hard stone by hand, was built in the Middle Ages. Entrance fee remains at 2KM (09/2014). Remember to bring a flashlight if you want to take photos or really detailed looks at the surfaces. If you don't see anyone nearby, head to the Ethnographic Museum on the same street. The staff there keeps the keys to the catacomb, and you can also get some decent postcards and a useful guidebook of Jajce in the museum. A good place to escape the heat also when walking around in the Old City (with lots of stairs).

While going uphill to Jajce fortress, stopped near the old tower where bears used to be present and prisoners would be their food. Opposition the tower is a little tunnel lead to Catacombs and the underground church. A small place with entrance fees KM 4

It's a rip off - you pay to see...nothing. So pay if you feel like it but don't expect anything in return.

An ancient historical site, where it has a spiritual touch, since it was a safe refuge for monks during the past centuries, it also had tombs for some monks as well, the place is at least 10 degrees cooler than the outside, give it a try! And vote helpful if you paid it a visit

Catacombs of Jajce are in my eyes very Mysterious. Jajce was in the Mid- Evil times a place of mysticism, Kings, Bogumils, "Christian Heretics", old Roman traces and even Cultism.
Jajce Catacombs are also full of interesting symbols, chambers and pathways. It is not surprisingly cool and moist place with lots of tight stairways and rooms. A lot of historical facts are for sure missing and waiting to be discovered.
What surprises me is the understated historical Value of Catacombs and Jajce old Town in general. There is so much to be seen and to be discovered, yet so little is known about this part of the World.
The entrance fee to the Catacombs is only 1 KM per person, it is equal to 1 Euro.
This Place should be better advertised that's for sure!

The catacombs are very interesting structures, cut into the rock in the 14th & 15th centuries. They are small, and set over 2 levels. The footing inside is uneven, and possibly not recommended for those with unsteady footing, due to this and a lack of handrails. Entrance is 2KM for an adult (August 2013), and visiting should take 15-20 mins. Minimal visitor information is available, which is a slight downside to the attraction.

The word Catacombs conjures up images of labyrinthine passages such as those in Rome . This is more like a Crypt out of ‘Buffy the Vampire slayer’. It will take you two minutes to visit but you’ll stay for five as you’ll be thinking your missing something of great value and importance. It’s probably not worth the 4 Bosnian Marks unless you have Troglodyte tendencies.

We joined the Totally Bosnia Tour- Travel in a Day Tour between Zagreb and Sarajevo offered by Sarajevo Funky Tour at 357 euros for three of us.
We corresponded with Ema from Sarajevo Funky Tour and she was very professional and prompt in her reply. She was also very friendly and trustworthy. We did not need to pay a downpayment to confirm this tour. It was based on trust. This tour also served as a transfer for us from Zagreb to Sarajevo. I would strongly recommend this company for the great trip we had with our friendly and comical guide, Adnan, and the very pleasant young driver, Faris.
This place was one of the stop and entrance fees were taken care of by Sarajevo Funky Tour.
The Catacombs (underground church and crypt) is a national monument. At the end of 14th century, when the town was experiencing major political and cultural development, the mighty Bosnian duke, Hrvoje Vukcic Hrvatinic, ordered that these catacombs be built in the granite rocks as a place of last residence for himself and the ducal family.
Climbing down a few steps lead to the catacomb and it was cool in the catacomb. We also saw the Bear Tower outside this building too.
