Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

NOT RECOMMENDED!!
Poor staff turn over, woeful management customer service approach, inadequate services, there is no continuity in staff because the instructors are always changing. I received the most inappropriate email from one of the managers who spoke negatively about my children, as if they can’t handle a compliant when they have made a very bad booking error by putting my child down two levels after being in privates for 2 years!!! The entity admit in person this was their error and then email the manager tries to justify it and then bring my other child up who I wasn’t concerned about and was completely off topic and not relevant to my complaint. Look elsewhere if your want your children to actually advance in their swimming skills.

Wonderful leisure centre with so much to do ! Great rapid river and slide with mini slide area and bubble pad in the pool. Beach style entry for little kids to play.
Lap swimming in the big pool , lessons and hydro / physio in the indoor heated pool. Loads of water snd land based classes with reformer pillates.
Crèche is great for young children and a blessing if you have a swimming lesson with another child in tow.
The lessons for all ages are amazing and a really great water safety program ! I was impressed.
The new changing rooms are fantastic - especially the changing places one with a movable hoist and bed.
There is even an app for people with a disability where you can check out the centre in advance and let them know you are ariving

I used to send my 2 kids for swimming lessons at their pool starting from January 2019. recently, things changed totally .The new staff members especially, young ladies at the desk treated us like as if they own the facility and we used the facility free of charge.I had an argument with one rude and adamant young lady who literally commanded me to accompany children at all times as if they are Babies or Autistic.Or else they are liable if something happens. The gentlemen staff member who was at the scene was Assertive which is really appreciated. It was understood that the staff are stressed out due to some reason.so they just want to throw their tantrums towards patrons.Unless the management look into this issue seriously, you are going to loose the business just because of some rude/misbehaving staff members.they need to be trained about good customer service. The bottom line is I have cancelled my kids membership and not going to use their facil anymore.

I took out a swimming membership in November and my wife had an annual membership for the gym. I am no Ian Thorpe, but I am always impressed and grateful at the accepting attitude of staff towards everyone. I have seen the staff do great work with both the elderly and people with disability. I always enjoy the time I spend up at the Leisure Centre.

I took Master 7 and Miss 6 for a visit here and probably spent 5 hours, so I felt like it was good value for money for me on this visit.

First time (in a long time) visit for us. Was impressed by the walkways in the car park. Makes it easier (and safer) with young ones.

Reception area and cafeteria area looks new. Not a whole lot going on with the menu, in fact there wasn’t a menu at all that I could see. Looks like that may be expanding. Hope so. We took some snacks, so I’d recommend that to save some $$.

The play pool area feels huge when you first arrive. The kids were so excited and couldn’t wait to get in. The did enjoy just swimming around and playing.

There is an extra charge to use the three story enclosed slide. I got a pass each. Because the kids were just over 120cm, I was unable to double them down the slide. The kids just weren’t confident enough to go down on their own. But within a few hours, they had gained the confidence to do so. And loved it.

There is a life guard who stands down the bottom of the slide to watch. They also hand signal to the people at the top of the slide when they can go. It was working well enough, I just would of preferred a guard up there as well to help the younger ones and keep the flow moving better. As a single parent, I couldn’t be at the top of the slide and then quickly come down to the bottom. But that’s the challenges of being a single parent.

The bathroom area was my disappointment. The facilities were big and open. Plenty of toilets and showers. I was more than disappointed and concerned for safety with the amount of exposed rust. I would of been paranoid if the children were younger and keen to touch everything. But still now, the rust I saw was on doors and in arms reach of young ones. I’m not talking just small patches either.

Front counter lady was super friendly. Cafeteria young lady was helpful. The lifeguards, all but one young lad, looked like they had been dragged in on a day off and didn’t want to be there.

Loved the big shade sail they have over the play pool. Such a blessing. Didn’t have to drag the kids out of the pool kicking and screaming to apply more a sunblock.

I have been using the fascilaties here for several years including Gym, lap pool, kids play pools, swim lessons and cafe.

The cafe area is currently under renovation and the gym area recently has also been renovated and now includes a coaching zone area, new equipment as well as the spin room, fitness class room and regular weights area.

Other than peak swim times I have always found the lap pool to have plenty of space and lanes available. Note though it is only 25m. The kids play area is fantastic and has areas for toddlers through to big kids. Term 4 does see swimming lessons in the deeper area of the kids pool so part it is closed off to the public during these times.

I have always found the staff here friendly and helpful.

Great place to do some lap swimming. Lanes are available so that you are not bumping into other swimmers. Cost is around $5 to swim which is pretty good. On top of that there is a family pool, kids pool, learn to swim, gym and associated fitness activities. Also there is a cafe with a pretty varied menu.

We dropped in on a spur of the moment decision when in the area and had such a great day in the pool area. Our kids (8, 6 and 6) exclaimed "best day ever" as we left after about 5 hours.

It cost us $37 for entry and when you comparing that with the theme parks down the coast it's unbelievable. Of course you have far less choice here but the kids just couldn't keep off the water slide and must have went around the "wild rapids" a hundred times.

There was an area for smaller kids too which was well used and I must say the staff there were all very friendly and attentive.

This place is a real gem on the Northside of town!

I joined the gym and pool membership a while ago. They created a program to suit my ability and age. I had recently come out of hospital and they required me to get a doctor's certificate. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They will design a cardio and weights program in addition to joining many classes and full access to the pool. An enjoyable positive place.
